I am a 9 handicap. I have played for a while. This does not make me an expert. You make great contact and hit the ball well. Just do some drills to straighten the swing, and you will be surprised. Great job keep it up!!

  14. I’m struggling with my irons too! 😡

  15. Dude, you don’t know how impressed I am. You’ve come such a LONG way. So impressed.

  16. Question. I’m no golf expert for sure, but you can smoke a 3 wood from what I’ve seen. Have you thought about teeing it up low & using the 3 wood off the tee instead of your driver for more distance?

  17. Eric Hessian says:

your putting has gotten a lot better. Saved you a lot of strokes

  18. Really enjoy your content! Keep them coming. Great looking course.

  19. Dude. Your swing really isn’t that bad. Strengthen your left hand and picture a clock as you swing with 12 o clock at the flag. Swing to 1 o clock and good bye slice.

LFG! Also…lessons this year finally? After the weight loss and because of the layoff and all

  23. Really solid golf, John. Shale Creek seems to be your course. The good memories from your 89 are definitely helping. I can tell when you step up to a shot, you’re more confident than you were a year ago. 80’s here we come

  24. Alan says:

What shot tracer are you using?

  25. Alan says:

Stand about 2 inches closer to the ball

  26. Keep up the great work John! Love watching your content!

looking good dude. keep up the hard work 👍🏼

  28. Hey Mr. John great nine! Was just gonna recommend to helo the cut across, try feeling your shoulders a bit more right which will help your takeaway feel more inside. Excited for the back, hoping you break 90!

  29. Gary Hunter says:

Killer front nine John. Let's have a back nine like that if not better

  30. Adz Adzy says:

Some good play, putter was decent, good angles filming, look forward to the back 9 👍

Big Guy! Drove thru Ohio on the way to Michigan for work, and saw Boulder Creek right on the turnpike, immediately thought everyone's favorite fat guy golf!

  32. Love your content. Very relatable for regular people. One thing I might suggest. If you're having to play 400+ yard par 4s from the blues I would suggest moving up to the whites. Definitely would help your confidence to have more birdie putts. Also maybe your right arm is too straight and not tucked into your body? Usually those over the top moves have the right arm getting too dominant.

  33. Ok let me help you buddy : take your bag and put it behind you and to the right so you can see it out of your right eye at setup, when your starting your downswing feel like your throwing your hands to the bag behind you to the right, this will naturally improve your swing path and you will hit the ball straight and to a draw with the power behind it “effortless power”

I really gotta get out to some of these courses I either haven't played yet or haven't played since high school

  35. I sliced the ball for over 30 years. I found a YouTube video, can't remember the name of the two guys that posted it, but it was called the water bottle drill. Basically, teaches you to swing from inside to outside and cures your slice. I did this drill for about 2 weeks and now I very seldom slice the ball. And I was about 60 years old when I started doing it. If you are interested in fixing that slice.

  36. Axel Broome says:

Super solid nine! When you don't have any penalty strokes, you can really start to score even without your best game

  37. LiamTheThird says:

The putter was on fire 🔥

  38. Luke Johnson says:

itching for the back 9 now
