Just switched myself from Ping i525 6 iron to a Cobra Radspeed 24 degree One Length 5 Hybrid. As it’s one length of plays like a 6 iron/hybrid. Early days but testing and 1 round on course, the hybrid is so much better WITB more versatility.
I have replaced my 4i & 5i with 3 & 4 hybrid and I will most likely replace the 6i with a 5 hybrid at the end of the season. I do have more confidence when looking down at a hybrid.
Great point! Most weekend players would benefit from adding a 7 hybrid as well , ego won’t allow them to tho 😂I have both in my bag , no brainer ⛳️
I carry 4,5,6 hybrids always and if my 7 iron is acting up i have a 7 hybrid too; they are just easier to hit. I'm currently a 12 handicap and I'll do whatever it takes to make the game easier.

I’ve been thinking about switching my 5,6 iron out for hybrids… I already carry a 5 wood 3 wood and a 2 iron.
The 5 wood being my most solid club. Is the 5,6 hybrid compatible to hitting 5 wood?

Pro…I finally put the mp-14's in the closet for a new set of Titleist t200's…much easier to hit…especially the long irons…and hitting better shots…getting the ball up higher…definitely giving me more confidence now…and hitting my irons a club longer…no more blades for me…getting too old 😂😂😂

I switched to the 6 hybrid last year, very happy with this decision. The 6 hybrid performs consistently with almost the same stats you demonstrated in your video. Your video confirms my decision. Thanks, Lamar
My bag current goes 3 hybrid, 5 hybrid, then 6 iron. But I’m considering a drastic change. I’m in my mid 50s now and lost a bit of muscle when I had surgery and radiation treatments. I’m just starting back to playing golf and my game is struggling a bit. I’m thinking about moving to the Cleveland Launcher XL Halo hybrid style irons. The older I get the more I lean on my hybrids.
Good stuff! You've got to try out the Cobra one length hybrids. My long iron game has gotten much better since I made the switch. The rest of the one length clubs aren't for me, but going with PW thru 7-iron in conventional irons and then shifting to 7-iron length hybrids above that rocks Try one out and you'll never go back!
glad you went back to the 6 Iron Vs the 6 Hybrid. I have been swapping both in my bag all season. I have to say for me the 6 hybrid is more consistent, so its' going back in the bag.

Great video comparison! I use my 7 wood in place of my 6 iron when I need to control roll.
I swapped out my 4i and 5i for hybrids and it was the best move I've made in years. So much easier… Why make the game harder.

I also go back and forth between 6 iron and 6 hybrid. The last few months I’ve kept the 6 iron in the bag because I use it for punch shots. I spend a lot of,time under trees 😂. My 6 iron distance is only 140 though.

Just a suggestion 🤔 When doing head to heads perhaps using different coloured balls for each club would allow you to show us the distance/dispersion more clearly. FYI I carry 4,6 and 8 hybrids. 8H 33* and 7I 29* have similar totals. Cheers Geoff
