This is excellent. I tried this the other day and it allowed my hip turn to be faster and hit further.
Watching world long drive at the weekend and all of them had an extremely wide stance, I'm not saying you're wrong Steve but it seems contradictory
Recently I narrowed my stance at the heels to approx 8-10 inches throughout the bag. Night and day for low point (divot) and centre face contact. Easier on my hips and back as well.
Great video as always Steve!

great drill!
I don’t want to disagree Steve because I honestly have no idea. However, watching scientific videos about protecting your back/hips socket and also watching slow motion videos of professionals now, it seems that you shouldn’t, and the progressional don’t, move the hip past your ankle. Am I correct in thinking you disagree with this? Thank you
This is very good advice, how to find out the personal best stance width. Another excellent method has the German professional Pat Kuck. He has found out measuring with force plates, that the half of the players have there balance points in the feet 10% nearer to the toes from the middle of the feet, the others exactly in the middle, feeling it a bit more on the heels. Those with the nearer to the toes need a broader stance to keep the balance than those with the heel feeling.
You got me Steve, great, excellent clarification as that Was me, too wide stay back. Cheers mate from Phil, Sydney Australia 🇦🇺
I am really struggling with getting to my left side, either I never get there of I find myself out of balance. I am leaking power like crazy. Carry distance is down to around 230 with driver. Got to solve this. Hoping this helps, I feel like I am getting almost all arms in my driver swing.
