Distance is overrated. It's nice but not the be all and end all. Being in play and being able to keep it in play when you're not swinging well is the most important.

  2. Two very very good drivers

  3. Out of all the low spin drivers this year, I personally found the lst to be the least forgiving, and the tsr3 the most. Spin consistency with the ping was shocking

  4. Golf Bn says:

Ping all day, one long drive does not make a round of golf… I use the G425 because it finds fairways simple as that.

  5. Robert Frank says:

I've used both the Ping and Callaway drivers this year, and the longest for me consistently is the Cobra Aerojet LS

  6. I tried both of these 2 weeks ago, along with the Stealth 2 and Wilson. All very nice but I ended buying the cobra Aerojet, worked best for me.

  7. Awesome drives James. I’ve recently bought a Wison titanium after a fitting. For the money it’s working well for me as a 19 handicap.

  8. Roy Close says:

    Nice one James 👍 😊

  9. The bast driver you can get is the one you feel most confident with, there’s nothing worse in golf than standing at the tee hoping you will find the ball before you’ve even hit it.

  10. Brian O'S says:

Thanks James, From my experience of briefly playing a Titleist low spinning driver, the low spinning drivers are just not forgiving. As soon as I went back to a more forgiving model my driving improved immediately.

went and got the G430 3wood with the hazardous Red in stiff… i smash low line drives with this club off the deck or off a low tee. Makes me wanna try to driver.

Paradym is the better looking club, no contest. Really comes down to the fit for the individual. My fit was neither of these two, but a TSR2. My son fitted to the Paradym driver and triple diamond 3-wood. Money for him. Don’t know anybody local to me that’s been ‘best fit’ for the Ping. Seems all the better local players have fitted Paradym or TSR3. Different fitters for them all.

  13. Bigger minds says:

I was at a club fitter for a new driver. Took my second hand old x16 and M2 with me. After hitting 300 balls in the simulator it was vey simular to the new Stealth, Paragraph, the ping and Titelist and Cobra. Just 360 diffrent in spin, and less than 10 yards between all of the. And spread, and dictance was most even and best with the x16. But so small difference between all of them. Think my x16 and m2 will live on in my bag some more years.

  14. Bo Celle says:

You made a good point. In the studio, you can hit ball after ball and get into a groove. On the course, you hit your tee shot, then an iron or two, then a putt or two, Then maybe a par three and no driver, You only get 14 or 15 non consecutive drives. So I go for consistency over distance

  15. Ron Carlton says:

Great comparison James but the important aspect is dispersion as well as distance. If you are not consistent then distance doesn’t mean better. Take the PXG challenge and test against the Gen 6 against your gamer. Should be interesting.

  16. Jeff Nahass says:

Hey, I suck at golf also. Irons, yeah, driver ….boo

  17. Brent says:

Chasing distance means chasing your ball in the trees…

  18. Randy Mahony says:

    Callaway definitely

  19. I would like to see you continue the test and use different balls at the same time. Im interested to see distances each club hits a certain ball. You used a TP5 or 5X. You should also use a CHROME SOFT and a PRO V1 and hit a few. That would be some very useful data.

  20. Mike Jones says:

Golf is not about the best shots we hit. As everyone can hit great shots, it’s about making the shit ones less shit and less often. Keeping it in play will score better and win more matches. Would rather hit 14decent drives in play, rather than 2 great, 10 ok and 2 lost balls. Therefore, for me slightly more forgiveness wins every time.

  21. pete Kenny says:

I reckon the normal paradym is for you Jimmy pls re test or try again mate

  22. I know a fair bit of your content is club reviews, but I can't help wondering if all this chopping and changing of clubs is harming your game. I have to say I much prefer the Callaway over the Ping in terms of looks.

  23. alex knight says:

ive got the ping g430 max

  24. AR147 says:

I had the G430 LST at the start of the year and loved it, but then got recommended a PXG 0211 and couldn't believe how good it was (I had a feeling from some of your videos too) especially for the price

  25. carpykeith says:

Had a fitting for the Paradym🔸🔸🔸and the G430 LST earlier this year! While the Callaway was huge, if I lost it I couldn’t keep it on the planet! The Ping was the one that ticked ALL the boxes for dispersion, flight and length! First game out with it, didn’t miss a fairway and continues to perform! Guess it was the right choice!!

  26. Paradym all day long

  27. May I have the one you don't want?

  28. Paul Carrier says:

I got fitted for a new driver and I have the Ping 430 max. I love it and now i average hitting 11 to 13 fairways a round. I much prefer playing out of the fairway rather than the rough or trees.
