Best Drill For An Effortless Golf Swing

Free Samples Here: http://bodyswing.com/freesamples/

If you’re looking to build an effortless swing this is the best drill you can be doing. This drill takes your arms out of the swing. This is the first step in building an effortless golf swing.

Once you get the arms and hitting out of your swing you then speed it up with your body. If you have been hitting with the arms for years how do you ever stop hitting? Well, you have to take it down to nothing.

This drill is difficult for most people. I don’t think any student who has ever come to me has ever been able to do this on the first ball. If you find you are having trouble with it keep doing it until you can do it. This might take a few buckets, a week, a month etc. Whatever it takes keep doing it.

Once you master it you have successfully take your arms out of your swing and you are getting used to the feeling of the effortless swing. It is at this point you can speed it up by driving your lower body harder instead of hitting harder. You do this and you will finally hit the ball to your potential. You can do it.

    1. Most suitable for me. Thanks

    2. This sounds excellent.

    3. Jackybug says:

I have had that moment a few times when the swing felt effortless, and I barely felt the club head at impact. Hit a 9 iron 150, my normal 120 club. Tried to reproduce and all I could do was a weak decelerating shot trying to reproduce the effortless feeling.

    4. Larry Jones says:

I have alway told my students to try an hit it easy then normal then hard. Theses shots will always come in handy when you least expect it. A great drill

    5. Jane Stewart says:

I found your video a few weeks ago and it worked perfectly. No arm swing basically. I shot my best rounds ever…. then…I went for a club fitting. They got me hitting about 60 balls (this was after playing 18 holes really well with 37 points). What happened next? Completely lost the body swing. Started hitting and didn't realise what I was bedding in. Last 2 rounds have been terrible. I know now that I have to keep your video close by to remind myself how loose as a goose I have to be. Thank you Paul, you certainly know your stuff. I'll never lose it again. My elbows thank you too!!

    6. UF1 says:

Watching this now as you recommended! Thanks Paul!

    7. Hey Paul, I'm honored you copied my driver swing at 6:05 ! Thanks for using me as an example of what NOT to do !

    8. Shug ! says:

OMG….I HAVE to try this today!! I KNOW I will be one of those chaps that struggle with slowing it down. I am one of those you described however, I will work at this until I slow it down even if it takes we weeks! Thank you SO much Mr. Wilson!

    9. Daniel Jones says:

Paul Wilson has literally cut 10-12 shots off of my handicap within 2 weeks. Awesome šŸ‘

    10. it works People. I went out slowing my driver swing down and i missed 1 fairway but still playable hittng hybrid sweet also slowing it down. The distance has improved also. Working with my irons now trying to get the same results. But noticed my irons traveling further had to club down. This works people try it

    11. Cray Ma says:

      Simple fact.
You gotta walk before you can run!!

    12. Funny, I came across this video instruction, it seems so counter intuitive, but you are correct, 30 years ago I was playing 9, decided to take it easy, which slowed my swing, and I was hitting it 50 yards longer with my driver, I actually when tee to green for a 320 yard par 4, I could never get that feel back since, but I've been away from the game for 25 yrs, but great advice and something I will practice for sure..I would imagine a tight grip would be Important, but a relaxed arm tension..

    13. Paul, this is the best drill I have done. I bring it to the course where on the tee I say to myself, just try to hit it 200yrds, and more often than not i hit it 260 to 270 without even trying. I need to ingrain this in my mind.

I am having a harding time with irons though. Any suggestions?

    14. Paul Murphy says:

Hi Just came across this ..I am 65 and love what I see thus far ….thank you Do you happen to have any info on your golf school in Vegas?

    15. Guss Ximenez says:

These Paul Wilson videos about effortless power… are GOLD !!! PURE PURE GOLD !!! Thank you Paul.

    16. As a 19 year old I find your tips very helpful

    17. swardmusic says:

Getting the arms out of the golf swing… What about our hands/wrists???

    18. Wow, this video has taught me so much, thanks Paul.

    19. I will give up distance for accuracy any day .Never try to overpower the swing …it goes farther by grooving your swing …your one that you crushed took 50 shots to pull off .

    20. I have spent thousands of hours over 35 years , and countless balls at the range to still hear …you swing so easy , but kill the ball . At 48 , I still play with the college kids , and still keep up . Smooth and easy …solid contact is the key . I never swing harder than 80% …never .

    21. Greg Woods says:

      Awesome video Paul!

    22. This is brilliant tuition.

    23. On my backswing I loose my balance when my foot comes up. Why does that happen?

    24. Trying to slow it down. More of a mental challenge than a physical one. I need to visualize the end result and then emulate that image.. Thus far,, all that I can visualize and emulate is my old crappy, herky jerky swing. However, I am not giving up on achieving that powerful effortless result. Thanks.

    25. Thank you Paul. Watched all the support videos and found the biomechanics very helpful šŸ˜€ Will try practice more and more… All the Best! Regards, Nick šŸ™‚

    26. Jack says:

I've just injured myself for the second time in a few months from trying to force power, so effortless golf is my new religion.

    27. You changed my iron game!

    28. Hayden Tharp says:

Hey Paul how do you like those PXGā€™s I just ordered me some gen 2ā€™s at 89 per club what a steal!

    29. Binged on your vids Paul. I've taught golf for 47 years and gave it up a year ago. You remind me of me at a much younger age and I appreciate how simple you make it for your students. I tried to do the same and my entire way of teaching revolves around one thing. Take them down the road I wanted them to go but let it seem to be their idea. People can learn faster when it's their idea, my job was keep them on the road so they could find their idea. Love your work, it's much appreciated from a former teacher, you make it simple. Cheers and have a great
Week. Now back to your vids.

    30. S D says:

I tried today you know I didn't get so good at the beginning I felt my arms my left is always tightened up when my swing and towards the end of my five wood exercise I was doing 3/4 swings and just ripping my body across just trying to get it to hit the ball and I hit two nice ones about three quarters of where I would normally hit now for 3/4 can do that I can't wait to get the full

    31. BRILLIANT Paul cheers mate thnks …yes mate I've finally got it….just hard keeping "slow" tend to get faster after 1st 5-7 holes an got to try to slow down again. Practice….

    32. Ross Parry says:

Paul, I adopt the same tone as you when i get tired of constantly trying to convince people to add a hashbrown to the flaming wraps from KFC. Great stuff šŸ‘

    33. Tim Curfman says:

My wife recently recovered from breast cancer and has lost distance and power in her golf swing. Any tips

    34. Steven Hill says:

I like the use of the swing caddie, but have tried a couple of launch devices that seemed really sketchy. Which one do you like? Love the 2/3rd idea and continue telling everyone about you.

    35. lodwar says:

      I will try it! Thanx

    36. Nate_Feag says:

Hey Paul! How long do you suggest hitting at 2/3rds power?? Am I going to be able to do this while actually playing and still par?

    37. Why are you hitting the ball so hard? Why ? Lol I felt that one

    38. J P says:

The bass was so boosted even the Canadian geese flying in the background had radio show-host-deep squawks. Jokes aside, thank you for this video šŸ˜€

    39. The irony here is that it clearly looks like you're "all arms" with very little body input….

    40. That's a great drill to reduce tension!

    41. Eggs Mann says:

The only problem here is that you don't need to learn anything else.
      šŸ™‚ I was being serious.

    42. Don S says:

Great video! Where do you buy the golf swing monitor??

    43. Le Tongue says:

Thanks for this Paul! This worked tremendously for me. Im hitting all my irons ~30 yards longer. 7 iron went from 150yds to 180yds.
