Reasoning for the comment is the underdog role. Lopez has talent to be the guy as shown in the WBC. Correa and Buxton's bat will wake up. That's the only thing holding them back. Both are capable. Pitching gets you places. They get Jordan Hicks, we all would feel really good about their chances. Its time to make a run.

This is absolutely a team that could go deep into the playoffs. You need pitching to do that and this is the deepest staff the twins have had in many years. Still expecting the twins to pick up a right handed bat and some bullpen help. Would love to see Tyler O’Neil as a twin.

Lewis at 3rd, Correa at Short, Polanco at 2nd and Julien DHing, and benching Buxton is what the 29 other MLB teams would do if they ran our team. but since Falvey has this intimate fantasy with people named Byron Buxton, that might not be the case 😂
it rly depends on what ur definition on a “run” is, but oddly enough i do think it’s possible to win at LEAST a series. we have the pitching and the young hitting.
however i am worried that we might and be cute and force Buxton in the lineup, thus making Julien play 2nd or Polanco at 3rd, which we can kinda figure aren’t the best spots for them. how are gonna fit lewis, polanco, correa and julien in the infield? i personally think it’s quite obvious that we DH Julien and then bench Buxton, but i don’t think the Twins would do that.
but if Julien, Lewis, Kirilloff, Correa, Wallner (if he’s not traded) get hot at the same time, we will be a tough team to beat + we will have made additions hopefully to our bullpen
