Hi I’m Rick Shiels, welcome to my channel RickShielsPGAGolf. This YouTube channel is designed to help you play better golf, also to help you enjoy your golf more!
I specialise in golf club reviews, golf club unboxing, golf club news, golf club head to heads, and all about golf clubs.
I also want to make you play better golf by providing coaching video on all topics about golf, how to fix your slice, fix your hook, help you drive the golf ball longer, hit your irons more pure, hit your irons closer to the hole and help you draw and fade your golf shots.

For 50pound more mite as well get a SC putter
No way the quality will be as good. I recently sent back a putter to Taylor made paint chipped off bubbled underneath , the customer service was appalling, they then tried to say it was wear and tear but I only had it a year and they have 2 year warranty . I can honestly say Rick they do not compare with Scotty Cameron.

Going to a center shaft putter years ago improved my game more than anything else, a cheap 100 dollar odyssey

I have a SC Futura X5 and it’s beautiful. It looks good, feels good and swings beautifully. My current gamer is a TM Spider X, and it just feels that bit better all round. I swap between them but the TM gets more game time than the SC.
Scotty all the way.. have several and love the feel of them
One of the most important factors is heel toe balance and you didn't even touch on it. Dissapointing

My thought on golf club feel in general is that it is very much a personally thing. Certain golfers want to feel different things than others, so the putter feeling softer or harder isn't necessarily a bad thing depending on who you are. The feel of a club being better or worse is very much a subjective thing. This is also TaylorMade's first go around at milled putters, while Scotty has been doing it for ages, so some areas to improve on was expected. I have no doubt that TM are going to get a lot of info back because A LOT of people were waiting for milled putters from them and will make changes based on feedback. One change hopefully will be the naming, which you were right on about btw, its horrendous. Like if you tell me Spider, Juno, Soto, Del Monte, Newport, Del Mar, Phantom, Anser etc. easily identifiable names and I'll instantly know what you're talking about. These, not so much.

Hey Rick, have you seen the LAB Golf putters? They are weird looking but claim to have perfect balance. Maybe you could review them.

You gotta see what you can do with the 'clunk' of the ball going in the hole, and if there's a way to get it closer to the satisfying 'click-click-click' of a hold on a golf course.
I'm sure there's limitations to what can be accommodated on the platform, but surely there's a way to get it closer.

The reason the middle tp reserve felt like it was closing through impact is because it is face balanced vs heel toe weighted like the first and second putter.
Rick, would say the taylormade feels more like an evnroll off the club face? I notice when I go between my scotty and evnroll, the ball feels like it pops off the face more with the scotty. Whereas the evnroll it comes off a lot softer. There is a noticeable difference in ball travel as well.
They’re average at best..Scotties are still king!
Demonstrates how personal this is. I love TP Truss putters over SC precisely for the soft feel. TPs are half the price of SC, but money's not the issue.
