This is definitely what I need. I’m very skinny and not very strong and always thought a shorter backswing would be bad for distance
This confirms the changed I made to my swing after turning 70 six months ago and started enjoying the game once again.
It seems like your weight is on the front in the backswing. Instead of transferring weight to the back foot is this the case.
Great lesson I hit the ball alot better with this swing.
I like your video but isn’t it always easier to hit off a mat then on the grass off the mat you always seem to be a good hit
I am in my high 60s( senior). I would love to do this short backswing but it looks too athletic. So with that said. Could you do a vid that would help seniors with your method. Much appreciated. Love your vids! Thanks
I’ve watched this vid at least 30 times! I wish I could have liked it that many times. Unbelievable good!!!
I’ve been trying to shorten my backswing as it gets too long, casting, otp. Keeping it short but powerful is a great feel. Big fan of your videos.
How does this swing affect the back. The sudden jerk in transition could cause problems later on?
Looks a lil stack n tilt-ish. But goshdarnit, if you play better golf, who cares!
Awesome 👌
Your doing a full turn ( or not far off it) but your shortening the swing length, big difference
This was a very interesting vid for me. Nearly 65 yo been playing ( albeit badly ) for many years and over this last year have been studying at the "University of YouTube" including every one of your tutorials, and thank you so much for that. The point I'm eventually getting to is that I have found that I hit the ball so much better from the 'start at impact' position, which you taught me. Good compression, great strikes etc. And just today I was hitting a few balls with my 50 degree gap wedge and found I could hit it further and more accurately with a much shorter backswing, felt good, again good compressive strike. My question is do I need fuller backswing?
In a year I have gone from hitting a hundred or just over to between mid eighty to low ninety's. My goal at this stage is to break 80, I've already got my first ever eagle ( on a par 4, nonetheless! )
Watching your tutorial today was just so timely, please keep 'em coming! 😎
This video confirms what my swing thaught has been lately and my PW went from 135 to 155 carry. It’s crazy
I find this one really relatable. My natural swing goes as high as you are showing and I am basically crossing my fingers hoping I hit the ball if I overturn. There is so much more confidence to swing harder when you don't overdo it.
I’ve tried this and it works. Amazing stuff
This is far from the first time that I see a video from you in my feed, and it just so happens that the subject is precisely what I was working on at the range just an hour earlier. I’m not kidding. It’s uncanny.
Funny this vid appeared today. I started using the feel of a half swing last week and striking the ball much better 💪
I really agree with this video as i tend to overswing & cast. Its difficult to shorten your swing after poor habits of overswingi g for so long. This is a great skill to work on
This relates so much being a middle aged man that is losing his flexibility
this makes me wonder if i should bother trying to learn a full swing properly at all. ive played with shorter swings… its shockingly easier for me to be more acurate and i dont seem to lose distance with my irons…. can it be done with woods and driver? and is it sustainable in older age? … how do i know if its worth trying to perfect a full back swing? what are the pros and cons vs and abbreviated swing? p.s. your instruction is the best I've found, you explain things so well. thank you !
Nice one 👍🏻
😁👍
