Driver vs. Wedge!

We’re diving deep into all the differences between driver and wedge technique today and how to deliver the instrument efficiently based on what the shot demands.

In our system, there are many similarities, but also a few key differences in how energy gets released through the strike. Hope this helps everyone improve their golf swings 🙏

Guys would love to see a video about honey hole. Specifically like when to squat, transition, etc. 🔥

  2. Jacky Bong says:

Very detail teaching video, thank you so much! U guys r great 🫡

  3. Oooooh liked the bit about ‘passive pelvic rotation with chest leading’ vs. Early extension.👍🏻

  4. Really enjoying the videos. Within this swing system, can you guys do a video on what tweaking or feels can help avoid pulls / pull hooks? With so much chest rotation it seems like the club path would always tend to pull left at impact…

Superb. This is an awesome way to think. Takes the attention away from the arms and hands. Keeps the energy stored for a later release.

    This is GINORMOUS. 👏🏼👊🏼🙏🏼🙌🏼

This was super helpful. Thank you for posting it for all of us.

Excellent explanation guys…love this level of detail.

Super vid and thank you for keeping your promise re driver. For me this brings everything from “load the spiral” and “swinging med ball” vids together. It all makes sense. Squat has killed me for so long as to me a squat is driven from the big leg muscles. A pelvic flexion as you guys demonstrate is so much more dynamic and gives automatic recentreing, shallowing and creates a massive space to swing the arms through (hi heavy point to low heavy point). With practice I can speed up the rib cage for amazing swing speed with so much more control (don’t have to do a Kyle Berkshire dance to get distance!). Your example of the catapult is key. The handle must go up and back somewhere between p6 and 7 – the fish hook move. Really excellent instruction and so holistic. Tx you both.

Adding question- I have trouble with the Separation part meaning the "Flow" into this. When the wedge is demonstrated it is almost one move without turning into the left arm (RHanded) is that the "Chill Out" part to allow it to collect then turn into it?

Awesome video! Would you say wedge feels and energy applied to irons equals knockdowns/stingers?

  14. Epic video guys. I’m assuming you would suggest a blend between the two but more like the wedge energy right up to fairway wood/long iron off the tee?

  15. Mike Wyble says:

Great video! I believe what I need to adjust is the relaxed flexibility needed at P6 and through extension. My grip/ wrist flex is too ridged and that makes me want to flip instead of extend. Does that sound right?

  16. Jay Schwarz says:

Do you have any suggestions, in your system, to minimize pull left drives?

  17. Mike Kommer says:

Thank you so much for talking about the driver. It’s nice to have it stated that you don’t need a different system for driver, just a different idea about how to use the system.

Also, how does TJ hit shots with no glove?! 😂

  18. Thank you for giving the demonstration for the wedge that I was with was waiting for now. Can you give a video on how you purposely do a fade and draw with this type of swing with the driver or fairway wood?

  19. Due to the slow down of the rib system with wedge is it normal for yardages to decrease or does the dynamic loft negate the slower swing speed?

Amazing content, keep it up! You recommend keeping the pelvis tucked a bit at address, but when I go to make that squat move should my pelvis remain somewhat tucked? Mine seems to naturally want to extend my lower back. I think everyone has seen the Tiger vid, and his lower back is arched, this kind of locks me up. I apologize if my terminology is off. What are your thoughts?

  21. Ed Moreno says:

Thanks for this video! Very helpful. This at least for me explains why my wedges through 8 iron are dialed and for the most part darts. The driver with this system had been a struggle and I had to early extend just to get my club on the ball. Extension is good as long as it happens appropriately makes more sense the way it was explained in this video. I also like the vibe from the both of you! Keep up the great content!

  22. In neuro linguistic programming. They’re always talking about people’s maps of the world, from the individuals perspective and if you model others and you should be able to get somewhat similar results. I’ve come to learn that all golf teachers are right, but most teach a specific route via hard set positions. In the sense that what they are teaching, will relate closely to the people with similar maps/routes. And to some people that took a different route will think that same coach is wrong. What I love about you guys, is this holistic approach to the systems. Like the heading of your other video global principals.

Great stuff! This is gonna take some serious mental remapping 😂
