Every tip include a drill…

We need to understand the wrong way to do it the right way. The drill is always there, the drill that will make you understand.

Let me help you get a effortless golfswing with speed and accuracy. A good release will help you to a better impact and longer drives and irons without slice and hook.

Long and straight is every ones goal but it takes time. Try to focus on one thing not everything when you practise. Impact, face control and swingpath will always be the most important part to drill.

If you use callaway, ping, titleist or taylor made clubs doesn’t matter you can learn to hit good golf shots. Your loft or your shaft on the club will not change but you can get better.

Find what inspires you. The pga tour, longdrivers or other good golfers can all help you find better golf shots. Watch what they do instead of listed to what they say. Listen mostly to your body and figure out what you need to do to produce the same results as the pros on TV.

Mike Malaska, Mike Austin, Mike Dunaway and Steve Pratt are some of my favorite golf instructors online. Find the tips that make your golf better. Decide what you want to hit. I teach a draw but many like a fade and nobody likes a hook or slice.

Your hips or your lag is not the key to golf. Your hands will decide the shot and you can do like Tiger Woods and trust your hands. Teach your hands to hit different shots. Hit big hooks and slices to understand what happens. Only straight is not gonna teach you anything.

Bryson Dechambeu and Kyle Birkshire can inspire you to hit it longer. Tiger Woods and Phil Mickelson can give you inspiration and motivation to test new things and new golf shots. Linn Grant can show you the future of ladies golf.

The Masters, Players Championship, The Players, The Open and US Open can make you love golf even more. See the best in the world solve all the problems we all need to master any golf course. Golf is a craft and you need fantasy, feel and skills to master it.

I just want to say thanks for all you do Marcus. I wish I would have found you years ago. I am a 90 to 100 player I know the 80's are within reach. I played this morning and had a 3 hole stretch where I just completely could no longer hit the ball. In the past my day was done. Just by replaying in my head things you teach while waiting on others in my foursome I was able to get it back together. I knew I was just a bit off somewhere in my timing, before I would have just been lost. Ended up with par on five of the next 8 holes. As you say "golf is hard" but I will keep putting your philosophy to work in my game and hope to one day soon be able to tell you I broke the 90 barrier. Thanks again for all you do.

    Great insight, as usual

Marcus the moves in a swing are all about feelings. I have a niggling question. Does your front shoulder feel slightly closed or square when you make contact with the ball? It all happens so fast it’s hard to see. Keep your videos coming. I’m really improving. Thanks from Canada

I actually tried the push by default at the driving range yesterday because my lead arm was sore (elbow area) and I remembered from your videos to use more of the trail arm; well the outcome was brilliant; my lead arm was almost inactive and i could hit golf balls without feeling the hurt of my elbow area; the golf balls were flying off the club like never before. I tried hitting golf balls today just to see if my results would be the same from yesterday and they actually were. I’m hitting golf balls with great control and trajectory; thank you so much for this wonderful swing advice and I can’t wait to see how far my handicap will fall!

The ‘aha’ moment for me with the Driver was learning how to hook the ball. This is the only way your body will understand why you slice.

I love what you teach: to practice doing the wrong thing as well as the right thing to know how it feels.
Preferably in a sim where i can see the ball flight, backspin, sidespin, push/pull, it helps me a lot.
Also to become aware of where the hands and hence club face is during the hit and try to predict if this miss was caused by open/closed face, path, aim, thin/fat or all of them.
Unfortunately that sim doesn't show where on the club face i hit it, but might try with those labels you can tape on the face for that.

Your lessons are devoid of endless promises and tedious, sometimes harmful drills. My goal has been to self actualize and undertsand fully what I'm doing. Now I can go to the range or go to the course and respond better to solving issues on the spot. Many thanks from rain soaked Cornwall.

  9. Another great video. Thanks for all your help

  10. Top Stuff again Marcus.. more people should be watching… You can see in my vid – my swing is basically a right handed version of yours, only I am naturally left handed and grip it weak with my right hand, which gives me amazing touch and feel with my short game from 120 yards in… I also can spin it as much as I want.. A few friends have asked me to do a couple of pitching videos and spin control videos, which I will upload soon,..

Marcus using your technique I have already picked up 20 to 25 yards with driver, which of course I love. I am working on your speed training exercises and they have helped immensely with woods and hybrids. But I don't seem to be picking up any iron distance yet. I hit them crisp and high but no farther. Can you think of a reason for this or do I just need to be patient and keep working. Thanks so much for all you do!
