  3. what is the watchface in the video?

  4. Kai Miller says:

How did you get it too look like that when it first turns on

  5. Dan Yu says:

Hi can you do a video for Garmin Venu Sq 2?

  6. Peter Gamma says:

That is confusing. We are happy that the accuracy of the Venu is now better. But is it due to changed settings or due to a fimware update? Firmware updates should be communicated better by the manufacturers, if they affect the accuracy. They have an influence on accuracy studies. As on your study. In the middle of your study, there was a firmware update, which disturbs your study, and makes it difficult to interpret.

The politics of these firmware updates should be improved. Polar increased for instance the running time of the Verity Sense by a firmware update, which made us retreat from the Verity Sense. If the parameters of a sensor are changed, a new validation paper is necessary. We went back to the Polar OH1, because there is a validation paper with a 3 lead ECG device for the Polar OH1, but not for the Verity Sense.

It is a pity that your testing protocols are not published. How long was the test, how long was the speed, etc. so that that it can be reproduced, and that we can get numerical and statistical data, and a ranking. It does not need to be a scientific paper, it could also be a WIKI page to start with.

Thank you for your update, regards, Peter Gamma, Meditation Research Institute Switzerland MRIS

  7. Ricky Swoop says:

Out of curiosity was the sleep test you did with the Venu SQ before or after the software update?

  8. Andrey Tsoy says:

My venu sq is not accurate, weight lifting it read so low, like max 110 bpm, with apple watch it was 145 bpm..

  9. Rossaldo says:

What is the watch face you have used in the thumbnail please?

  10. Lino Martins says:

Hello! Can anyone tell me please, what is the whatch face? Thanks!!

  11. which one would you suggest? GARMIN VENUE or Fitbit Sense??

  12. Anthony Cua says:

Does anyone know what watchface is being ised in the thumbnail? I have digisport and it doesn't fill the entire screen like that…

  13. wresting1212 says:

  14. Gede Febri says:

  16. What watch face ur using sir

  17. FXGRIEF87 says:

Im using the garmin for 1 dag now and im so dissapointed. The heartrate in rest and little activity isnt good and jumps often. The sleep function is even worse, had a bad night. It said i sleept almost 8 hours. And also the breathing function doesnt show the real values. Considering to return this 🙁 dont know what to choose now.

  18. Krys Nixie says:

I got one today and in my book it's totally inaccurate. Getting 140 whilst standing still and talking, during a pause when out walking. Standing still making a cup of coffee, apparently it's 100, 80 sitting still. However on my previous tracker, sitting would be approx 50, moving slowly would be about 80, and 140 would be going uphill whilst cycling. Ridiculously inaccurate.

  19. stevie3011 says:

My Venu SQ is always way off. I'm wearing it as recommended, tight, no tattoos etc, and it says 85 while on the bike trainer, when my Garmin HRM chest strap/monitor says 148.

  20. Lee Callan says:

Hey Rob. Think you could do a comparison between the Venu Sq and the H10 for a 12-hr daily activities heart rate test? Just doing your daily work and chores. Without selecting an exercise activity, just the watch normal mode. I personally found that the heart rate is very erratic with errors coming in when I'm moving my arms a lot. I'm comparing it to a finger pulse oximeter which is not ideal. Since you have a Polar H10… Thanks.

  21. Vince White says:

I wonder if it’s also the difference between wrist based vs hrm

  22. Aizat Shawal says:

Hi how can i get watch face like yours? It looks awesome!!

  23. AlfaUlfur says:

  24. wath says:

Love your reviews! Very in depth. Keep up the good work.

  25. Cooled21 says:

Hi Rob. Your fan from the Philippines.
If new and better software updates are made by these gadgets you tested, would it be fair to all if you have it tested at least every 3 months and see how they fair after a year of use. Curious to see their consistency and value for money. Thank you.

  26. tokenasian1 says:

    Great video.

Unrelated to the actual content of the video… what is that watch face on the Venu Sq? It's super clean!

  27. How to setup watch face like yours?

  28. Ed Bradburn says:

Very interesting work! I just bought the Sq and have immediately noticed how much better the HR tracking is for cardio work indoors where my previous 645 struggled a lot, especially with HIIT and quick, large HR changes. If I get the chance to compare with a Polar or similar strap I will 🙂

  42. Ed I says:

With this update, would this now be the best wrist based optical sensor for lifting weights?

  43. Ed A. says:

This always happens with new sensors and Garmin (as well as others). Firmware updates consistently improve the results.

  44. leiflala says:

The Venu SQ is much better after the update. I'm tempted to buy one
