There’s no way to avoid the work that comes with building a good swing, but the best way to create a great base for improvement is to make 100 practice swings with an iron every day.

Starring: Hank Haney

One of the best tops out there Hank. I stopped playing for a year, and this is the vest way to regain my swing ! Thank you!
wow, you truly are brilliant !!!!!…thanks for sharing…..
think this is a good drill…but just cuz you do it doesnt mean you will play better….been doing 100 swings in the morning and 100 in the evenings for the past month or so…the last two rounds have been the worst ever….. 🙁
What if I practice everyday and hit about a hundred balls a day anyway? Do I still need to do a hundred practice swings?
Depends on where you are in your golf game & if you know what you're doing.
Flowing freely without ball focus and ending in good balance is the takeaway on this. Of course it works.
The butt of Haney's club shaft is never pointing ahead of his body at impact. This is probably why in all of his videos, he's the only instructor who always hits the golf ball from a rear view and not face on. Can't be trusted.
I think it should be 100 correct golf swings a day. Not just doing 100 swings. My 2 cents. I'm not an expert.
A really great tip.
Good advice. I'd add a psychological benefit of gaining confidence, visualizing success…good stuff
Possibly the most useful piece of golf advice I've found on the internet! I've been doing this for about a month and going out on the course is so much easier now 🙂
One word of caution, though. Because you're not hitting a ball you can "groove in" bad habits. I started pushing my iron shots off to the right – great contact but waaaay right of the green. Turns out I had started sliding my hips during those 100 practice swings and then took that bad habit out to the course. (fixed it now)
