Harman was a really deserving winner, absolutely brilliant four days for him. Great champion!
Molloy is a gowl
Harman just played superbly. Hit the fairways, hit the greens, chipped great when he missed a green, holed plenty of medium-rangers, lagged the long ones up perfectly and lapped the field. It's about execution, not tactics. As for him being boring, Tiger was boring sometimes, just made the least mistakes and ended up hitting the fewest shots. Not sure either that Lawrence is right about Harman not having a reputation as a great putter. I always thought that WAS his reputation : short hitter, a demon on the greens. Maybe I just imagined it.
And I wish tf Rory would stop shaking his head in bewilderment every time he misses a putt. It really isn't that amazing an occurrence. I get nervous just watching him putt. Imagine how HE feels.
Planets aligned for him. Game was on point, suited the course and conditions and he putted the lights out. Fair play to him 👍
Its a bit harsh to say Harman ruined the stat of Americans winning the open by 6 or more. He was brilliant.
He should be considered joining illustrious company and credit him for it.
Talking him up while knocking him down. Ye can do better lads.
Molloy obviously a broken man because McIlroy didn’t win. I never realised charisma was a requirement to win a major.
How boring listening to the Rory fan boys on sky sports always talking up his drives of nearly 400 yards.Harman gave have an exhibition of ball striking and control.
I like that Harman showed the big beast drivers how to play a links course. A half fit Tiger would have run Harman closer than the the field did this time. Golf is about brains as well as brawn sometimes.
