I Had My First Golf Fitting Session… And It Was Incredible

This week I go through my first golf fitting ever, where I get fit for new irons. I went in hoping to feel more comfortable standing over my clubs, and I ended up with so much more than that.

Thanks for going to see Mike. All positive reviews from every client that has gone to see him! Really happy to have him as a resource for building a complete golf game.

  2. Ryan Park says:

This video deserves ALL the views. Love your channel. Took a lesson once with Zach at Bridlewood and instantly improved my game. Could use a driver lesson or 5.

  3. Nate says:

Hope you went with the 223.

I’m so curious how to find a fitter this detailed. My iron fitting they didn’t even try different shafts and all they focused on was distance

  5. Bobs Golf says:

P.s. you cannot go wrong with Titleist ✌🏻

  6. Bobs Golf says:

Such a great fitting man! You’ve tried a lot of the shafts and club heads I also tried out. Hope you’re going to get a set according to these specs and start playing even better 🔥

  7. Lrwebb says:

Hey Ernie, nice insight to a fitting. Did you try any Ping irons; the G430 maybe?

  8. Ed R says:

Great stuff. Mike seems like an awesome guy to get fit with. Interesting to see how different the shafts performed. And how all of us have different things that fit/feel right to us as a golfer, yet we often just buy 'off the rack' irons shafts.

  9. Haha, I know I suggested you get a fitting…so I am enjoying this immensely. I play the T100s and love them. Very different shaft, I have the Modus 105 in X stiff. Looking forward to part 2!

Need to get fitted 😭 Just shot an 82 other day been playing tips 7100 yards. Finally single digits in the handicap.

  11. Rob Scott says:

Custom fitting definitely helped my game when I got back into golf. Those 20 year old clubs were just not gonna cut it. My fitting wasn’t this detailed but I know it helped. Glad to see you get some awesome help with the process. 👍🏻🏌🏻‍♂️

  12. Jkgjr82 says:

This dude needs to organize his shafts…spent 5 mins fumbling through golf shafts trying to find one. 😂

  13. I got fitted and the experience was not nearly this good. All that to say, when you get fitted go to someone like the guy in this video!

  14. Finn OBrien says:

Dude, I hope you got the Mizunos. You were repeatedly painting the flagstick with those. Also Mizunos feel so pure

  15. Follow Media says:

    wait..which Mizuno club head?

  16. Peter Lee says:

Great video, swing's looking great. Not sure if you've mentioned before but what's your height and weight?

  17. RyMc says:

I dont have Instagram.. hope I still get an entry

  18. RyMc says:

    Mike at sellingers is amazing!!!!!

  19. It's funny you had those as you best options, cause I play Titleist woods, and Mizuno irons.

  20. Richard Reed says:

Love you shared this video. Definitely shows the importance of a fitting. The Mizuno Pro 223 and T100S are more comparable to me as they’re more cavity back player irons with sim Iliad lofts. I would absolutely love to have the T150 in my bag. I currently play JPX 923 Hot Metal Pro with Nippon Pro 120 shaft. Excellent club, but the Titleist is special.

  21. I play the Mizuno 223's and love them.

One thing I will say is please take them out onto a grass range to hit too before you buy , as turf interaction is also a big thing.
The range / simulator mats hide our mistakes, clubs bounce off the matt hiding chunky shots etc..
So if you can, get em on some grass and hit them too…

  22. Matt Dipadua says:

Oh boy has to be og t100s if you will have in a week I don’t think the 150 won’t be out till mid august 🤔

  23. Matt Dipadua says:

    Man the t150
He didn’t have built Would of been perfect

  24. Late Nite says:

soon as i can improve my swing I'm getting fit. this was great to watch

  25. swiper31 says:

Thanks for this. I'm going to go see Mike in the near future. I bought a full set about a year ago and the fitting was NOTHING like this. I think my lie angles are way off because my swing has changed quite a bit since I was fitted..

  26. Let’s go! Great fitting!

  27. Yuki says:

What a great video man rly diamond in the rough channel

  28. M P says:

How do you know when to get fitted vs work on your swing more? Meaning if your swing isn’t great and that’s why launch angles aren’t ideal, how do you decide how much more to work on your swing?

Also, no gator chomp on this video?! That’s the #1 reason I come!

  29. BigBossAJ says:

I got fitted and starting playing worse 😂

  30. Great video. I should have taken the time to get fitted for my new set I just bought early this month

  31. When I clicked on your video I was like, “I wonder if he’ll go with a titlest?”

Sick to see your dispersion so tight! Can’t wait to see how your new clubs stack up out on the course!

  32. This is a fun journey to watch, makes me want to practice more and finally get to scratch.

  33. So, a month ago (you can look at the video yourself), Zack and you were talking about your 83-85 mph clubhead speed with your 8 iron. Here, you never even get one 7 iron to 80 mph clubhead speed. All of them were in the 78-79 mph range. So is Zack's machine juiced or something and giving bad data? That is quite a disparity.
