When I was a new golfer in my 40's, I was playing at my dad's country club, really hard course, and it was a money game with the other two guys in our group. By the 5th hole, those guys knew I sucked. I hit my tee shot OB, then re-teed and hit into the hazard on the right. Found my ball chipped out (tried to) and then on my 7th shot I thinned a 9-iron and it rolled about 150 yards and went into the hole. The other two guys were like WTF! I had to remind them it was for a 7.
