andy, good info on what should happen and how to do it. i like how the body pivot seems to be responding to the arm action.
Really good stuff. I'm a frustrated 16 handicapper – often playing more like a 26er as I don't spend time on my game. I've challenged myself to totally rebuild my swing with an aim of getting to single figures at least once, and having an approach that is consistent and age appropriate 😂 (I have shot a few rounds between 4 and 6 over around 25 years ago when youth and flexibility overrode a dodgy technique… sadly that time has passed!!). This was really well explained – I just need to be patient and build on the clear phases. Thank you!
Amazing video mate. I've been struggling with this so much. Lateral movement is what I've been doing but it's never been explained like that before! I'll practice this at the range! Thanks brother!
This is exactly the video I needed. I like to focus on my arms dropping first because everything else seems to fall into place. I can't feel the weight shift, my excuse is I'm too stiff 😂. I'm also amazed at how much distance I've gained from rotating my shoulders a bit more went from 7 iron 120 to 140-150
Thanks Andy, whilst there are so many great videos on this topic, for some reason this one has just resonated with me and the way you've explained it has really stopped me overthinking things and I'll be going back to some basic drills for sure! New to the channel but you've now a subscriber 👍
Great video Andy. Echo others comments about the side by side camera views, love it.
I feel like the only way to legit get weight/pressure on the lead side is to create that trail shoulder dip/side bend. Makes it pretty effortless to atleast hit ball then ground.
Hey Andy, enjoyed your golf instruction! Great demonstration, more would be great!
Does this apply for the driver also?
Do the same feels apply to driver? Just moving ball forward works up through impact?
This was an excellent demonstration and explanation Andy on the golf transition! Being that I swing the club in to out, this is the move I have been working on for quite sometime now. I definitely know when my right shoulder down together with the arms don't come down, but out away from the body because my shot usually ends up over in 'left field." Now, all I have to do is get my bottom half pressure moving forward onto the left leg with a proper lead hip rotation over the left leg and I have a golf swing. It was a good lesson for me Andy! Thanks for the input and help!
Thanks for sharing and looking at it from the perspective of cause and effect …
After viewing my swing via video lately, I’ve found I’m in the right position at club parallel to ground, but I haven’t got myself into a great impact position. Probably a lack of glutes back, shoulders opened type thing. So this is an area I’m working on at the range/ home. Thanks for the tips!
Two camera angles at once makes such a difference with this type of video, cheers!
Thanks Andy this is the essence of transition and downswing well explained
Ive been working on this for some time this year – getting there slowly but surely.
Great stuff Andy
Cheers
Great video, I am 100% going to try to work with this. This 9I Think) I can do at home for a while before hitting the range.
Really appreciate this video. Does the same apply to the driver?
Great video, Andy. Will be practising all the time! Lots of golf comps coming up! Cheers!
Don't struggle with this but a refresher won't hurt . Struggling more with what the hands and arms do after the point of impact/finishing position
Great video Andy have been using this set up for awhile really helped my game just not hitting them as well as you yet
Great video Andy. I'll definitely be trying this at the range and at home. Thanks for the instruction😀
