A PGA tour caddy has broken silence on how they were treated by the PGA tour golfer they caddied for! They said “I DOUBT YOUR BOSSES TALK TO YOU LIKE SOME PLAYERS TALK TO US!”. This is huge, but about time that a caddy breaks silence on how they are spoken to by their golfers. The PGA Tour caddie has also opened up on one ‘under 30s superstar’.
A PGA Tour caddie has broken silence on the alleged abuse he received from his player that resorted to the looper turning to a therapist… but who is the caddy and who did they caddy for? The anonymous caddie made the revelation in an article for GolfDigest.
“I’m sure some of you get chewed out by your bosses, but I doubt they talk to you the way some players talk to us,” the caddy wrote.
The caddie revealed that there’s one famous player who is ‘a notorious hothead’ that everyone ‘considers a good dude’. Yet apparently he rides his caddie hard and ‘nothing is ever his fault’. As a thirty year club caddie, showing player caddie interactions on TV is disastrous to me. Almost every guest I caddy for think it's my job to tell them how they should play every shot they hit. This is regardless of skill level. Then when they hit a bad shot they think it's ok to rip me for it. Which is fine until I say something incredibly smartassed back to them then they cry like a little b×&ch.
We hear so much these days about how much the caddy and player are a 'team'. If so then as a team they should both accept responsibility for success and failure. I caddied for a club pro for a couple of seasons getting to The European tour qualifier in Spain, two Open final qualifiers and several regional tournaments, and he never got angry at me, quite the reverse actually, he used to apologise if we'd not had a good round! In one three ball we had a former Ryder Cup player who's behaviour was disgusting. Throw a club at me, then you won't have it the next time you need it! Swear at me and you can carry your own bag!
On the plus side, when someone behaves the way you have described behind the caddies back, most other players know they are a knob!

Let the caddy carry his bag only,the golfer then should make all decisions himself.Maybe then you will see how good they really are,although Cantlay may then take a hell of a lot longer and that would be horrendous.

The level and amplitude of primadonnas on Tour has never been so robust. LIV forced the PGA Tour to finally find their wallets. These guys can now come in 2nd or 3rd some week and they make more $ than 67% of Americans will make in their entire lifetimes. Their Elitist attitude "do it because , after all, I am me." will begin to drown out everything else. These bass turds do not care about "expanding golf around the world", nor do they give a spit about the average golfer who is the one ending up footing the bill for all their crap. One little Recession and all this baloney will collapse. Do you know how many "golden years of golf" I've seen? About 6 periods, and they all end with a whine and a whimper, when they find out they have invested too much money and try to pull it all back.
Tour players since tiger came along have turned into a bunch of dam prima-donnas. Oh never mind 🤔

Most golfers have two problems; they blame others for their own errors and buy the ultimate golf technology. This is stupid. Caddys have to deal with this unreasonable issues. Most PGA golfers lack good education. I can't see great golfers like Jack Nicholas, E Else, and many others that have always shown self-responsibility for their game and efforts. Shame on the low home education of some fellows on the tour.

Not sure who it is, but for those thinking it's Zalatoris, he fired his last caddy mid round of the Wyndham Championship last year and has had the same caddy, Joel Stock, since last year's FedEx playoffs.
