Hi I’m Rick Shiels, welcome to my channel RickShielsPGAGolf. This YouTube channel is designed to help you play better golf, also to help you enjoy your golf more!

I specialise in golf club reviews, golf club unboxing, golf club news, golf club head to heads, and all about golf clubs.

I also want to make you play better golf by providing coaching video on all topics about golf, how to fix your slice, fix your hook, help you drive the golf ball longer, hit your irons more pure, hit your irons closer to the hole and help you draw and fade your golf shots.
I will also help you lower your score by chipping better by stopping you duff and thin chips, pitch the ball closer and also create backspin. Also I will provide you help to putt better and hole more putts!

On this channel I also make fun and entertaining golf content based on crazy and sometimes “gimmicky” golf clubs. I like to cut through the marketing hype about products and I like to give you the honest truth about golf equipment.

If you enjoy the channel make sure you hit subscribe and also tap the notification bell so that you are always notified when I release a new video.

Rick taking that extra 2 seconds on the first tee to take it all in shows you how much it means to him

    13. i don’t know if anyone’s asked this before but can you list the names of the hickory clubs? that is just so interesting to me.

    15. R S says:

Awesome video. Thanks Rick and Min Woo.

    16. I wonder what Tom Morris would think of modern golf clubs

    17. Don't you find it telling, when arrogant new generations put down old technology as stupid when they themselves NEVER contributed to new research.. ABSOLUTE slime of humanity.

    18. Great game well played with the fossil clubs a few of those shots where it took flight then shot up to the sky suddenly then drops looked pretty cool.

    19. Good bants. Liked how Min was giving Rick some jabs. "ugh my shoulders" lol good stuff

    20. benivarius1 says:

      That's a guttie? Really?

    21. Steve Gribbs says:

That was awesome what an experience.

    22. Captain Nemo says:

    24. K W says:

I love the first swing Min says break 90 challenge almost immediately, kid has a sense of humor.

    25. I'll take any set in these boxes you don't want 🤪 I am playing with a second hand set that is 12 years old 🤪

    26. dathyr1 says:

Did you even hit any shots with the hickory clubs before you played. Kind of ridiculous match.

    27. I would imagine life is just better w a caddie

    28. I would honestly love Hickory golf clubs

    29. wccroft50 says:

This should be done more often to show respect for those who proceeded you! Make it all for charity, wear the outfits they wore back then, play by the rules and clubs they used. Telling you, this would be a BIG success!!!!!!

    30. Jimbo 0117 says:

A little bit of time on the driving range familiarizing yourself with how these old style clubs feel and play would have made this comparison of old versus new much more interesting and compelling. It's hard to tell what the real difference is when Rick is shanking every shot because he's unfamiliar with them

    31. PAULH S says:

Hey there Rick I must be the only so called golfer who has played the old lady " old course " and not liked it. I prefer the jubilee course as the wind changes and tide affect the playing of it .The New course is not too bad but 3rd in my list . While your using the old sticks can you explain what their names with equivalent in today's clubs i.e. a baffy is that a 5 iron .
      Paul

    32. kje3429 says:

    36. TheDiscgolf says:
