ABOUT DANNY
———————–
Thanks for stopping by. I created this website as a resource just for you to support you on your golfing journey as I know how tricky learning this game can be…to say the least!

I personally found learning the game too long and difficult in the early days. I read all the books, watched all the videos but my game was not improving. Then after studying various forms of neuro science, motor learning, psychology and personal development in less than two years I went from struggling golfer to the final stage of the Open Championship.

On YouTube and my personal website (www.dannymaude.com) I will bring you the most up to date training, training that is getting tangible results for my clients right now. I don’t know where you are in your golfing journey, you could be just starting out or maybe your body isn’t as flexible as it once was or you’ve got ambitions to slash your handicap. Wherever you are I’ve created a place here you can learn, share your ideas, ask questions and get all the support you need to enjoy this great game.

Be prepared though. If its a quick fix you are after Im not your man. Here I will give you step-by-step advice that you can take straight to the practice ground and apply to the course but it will require you to get stuck in, screw up…a lot, practice some more and then watch those scores tumble

I’ve had the pleasure of coaching thousands of students all around the world and if you are up for the challenge and are ready to get in the game…LETS GO TO WORK!

    1. Awesome one of the best all round EASY tips

    2. Thank you Danny! Great video!

    3. Brian Marcel says:

Danny you promised to deal with hookers or flippers in this video did you forget?

    4. this isn't anything new… you didnt come up with this… thats how just about everybody saw the swing except for people who suck at golf. Its a good teaching, but not original. all power to you in you spreading the knowledge still

    5. David Collie says:

typical Windows, always begging for updates.

    6. 5.6k likes, 1 dislike. Who hurt you Mr. Dislike?

    7. You are the best Danny. You have been for years.

    8. Jason Velez says:

Danny, you are one of the very best in the business. With the sea of golf instruction information on YouTube you have managed to maintain simplicity in your teaching methods. 👍🙌🙌💪🙏

    9. Should 60% of weight on front foot also be used with woods and driver?

    10. vegasgolf25 says:

Love this! Makes perfect sense. Can't wait to get out to the range.

    11. It would be nice to see the front view of you as you alter your set up to correct a slice ot hook. The explanation and view you provide isnt enough to explain the set up. A visual, looking straight on your set up, would be best.

    12. Steve McCabe says:

Yep, this has made a huge difference. I’m almost afraid it will go away. 😮

    13. if your weight begins on lead foot, are you shifting weight on backswing, or keeping it on lead foot a la S&T? In order to actually swing in a circle don't you have to be on a single plane?

    14. What a great instructional video. I've been following you for several years now and I have to say this is one of your best videos yet. The new graphics you're using to illustrate the swing circle and the body alignment really help clarify the concepts. I can't wait to take this to the range and start working on the shape of my swing circle and direction of my shots.

    15. This was done by Ben Hogan with a pane of glass years ago,
But the circle is not the same with irons against the driver

    16. Hello, just wondering where the handle would be on a 4 iron or even the 3 wood if the 8 iron points to the middle of the left thigh

    17. 2Donuts says:

      Goodness!! amazing illustration!

    18. Always great watching your teaching Danny. Was wondering if you could touch on the handle pass thru impact. After years of seeing the images of lag in the professional swings I feel that image alone has caused many amateur golfers to hold that position thru impact (dragging the handle thru impact instead of releasing like you show the catapult) I went from hitting my 7 iron 150 yards to almost 175 yards). I know you could explain n show us much better than most teachers. Just an idea for a lesson that I would think many golfers could relate to because they have been programmed over the years of that lag image. I am an avg guy and figured if I was doing it surely there are others that could benefit. We are all in this together n you have been a huge influence in my getting better! Ty for all you do!

    19. Hello Danny. I just started playing golf seriously this past summer. I am absolutely in love with this beautiful game and I am so happy that I came across your videos a few months ago. Your videos have helped me not just with my swing but also understanding the mechanics of adjusting whatever we are doing wrong. Last summer I was shooting mid to high 90s. Last week I shot my best round of an 84. My goal by the end of 2023 is to average below 80s and I am sure by watching your videos will only improve and help me get there. Thank you so much. Happy golfing to you and also all your subscribers. 🙂

    20. I never comment on things but just have to this time, this has literally changed my whole understanding of the golf swing, your explanation and the graphic of the blue circle on this video and the one with your dad is amazing, I am a fairly new golfer (2-3yrs 18hcap) and been struggling with a slice, I have been "learning" to drop or shallow the club and come more from the inside, but seeing this has just connected all the dots for me… I have been setting up my hips and shoulders to the left then working against my body trying to get the club back inside, I just needed to square my body at set up 🤯 looks so simple watching it like this..
Iv never really understood what I was been told before, thank you so much for the amazing video 🙌

    21. Danny, thank you so much. Watched your vid at 6am teed off at 7.45 and hit the best irons for years by utilising your swing circle theory. It worked so well. I took a 7 iron on a par 5 dog log and drove it 185 yards, took 7 iron again to 150 yards 7 iron again to green 7 iron chip and run and 1 put for a par. What a result, thank you, thank you, thank you. Dave Twycross

    22. Mike Booth says:

Beautifully simple explanation as always, Danny. My body seems hellbent on making the golf swing difficult, but your tips remind me that keeping it simple is best.

    23. John Town says:

Haven't managed to get out for a month, but the circle analogy really strikes home. Thanks Danny, I will definitely work on this

    24. Thomas Mira says:

I question the use of the word 'opposite' regarding the lead leg/thigh–'opposite' to the lead would be the trail; suggest 'adjacent'

    25. Surely with both hands holding the club the bottom of the circle is below your chin
