As a person who has traveled and wants to continue traveling with our baby (now toddler)… it has more to do with what Cristine was saying– we WANT to take our LO on the trip. Maybe "he won't remember" the exact itinerary that we took but it exposes them to travel, and gives us some AWESOME family memories to look back on.

Please consider coming to Puerto Rico. I would recommend ( as a local ) coming at the end of April or beginning of May because all university student and school aged children are studying for finals and adult are occupied with middle of the year quotas, so it’s not that busy.
Had to fly my kid when they were 6 months old for a 2,000 mile move. She cried and I felt like the worst person ever. 100% the most stressful experience of my life, but I didn’t have another option. I would never fly with a baby for a vacation, I just wouldn’t vacation. 😅 Too stressful for me.
I'm fresh back from my own tropical paradise vacation, and my group had a similar experience with almost missing our second flight home. Our first plane took off and landed late.. which reduced our layover from 2 hours to 35 mins… 💀 Some how after picking up our bags, going through customs, going through security, and RUNNING through an unfamiliar airport.. we got on our flight 3 mins before they closed the doors. And then the plane sat there due to mechanical issues for another 40 mins while kids screamed directly behind me. 😂

My 10 year old REALLY loves pineapples. He also hates dressing up. So the only way I managed to get him to wear a button up shirt for Easter was to find him a pineapple button up shirt…. I bought him the same shirt as Ben's from Old Navy 😂 hope we didnt give anyone the wrong idea 😅🍍

i just got back from vacation as well, and throughout the flights, i had to deal with fussy toddlers and babies 😭 what's funny was, the babies were generally fine – they only made squeaky sound and cried like once. but the toddlers were a nightmare. i hope I'll make enough money to get myself business class seat next time
From my limited knowledge of travel. Once you arrive into a new country and that country is your final destination you must clear customs with your luggage regardless of if it is the city that will be your final destination. Similar experience when I landed in LA or coming back to NZ. It wasn't the city I was going to but it was my entry into the country. Your trip looked wonderful! Good on you for upgrading! Sensation views 😍
Iguanas are very fast and can even swim lol
people have genuinely forgotten how to act!! i’ve seen this same stuff happening at disney world. spitting on cast members, demanding special services just because, etc. idk if it’s correlated to covid but it seems like after the lockdown, people just lost their minds.
37:00 about that segment, I have a perfect destination for both Cristine and Ben: any Greek island. There are hundreds of cats everywhere and a lot to sightsee. The same in Cyprus, must-see would be Monastery of St. Nicholas of the Cats – tons of cats there.
Lol took me a while to realize Ben meant luxe when he said “looox” 😂 never heard that pronunciation but it does make sense to say that based on the spelling 🤷♀️😆

Ben’s attitude toward the whole 12-hour flight delay/layover thing is so different from what I’d have expected. Retirement must change your outlook, I guess…

ugh Pearson is the worst. The customs area is horrible and know one will answer you questions. Also, half of the automated kiosks don't work properly. I've had multiple issues there and actively try not to fly through that airport, Hard, as I am also located in Ottawa…

And regarding needy cats and ageing: our cat also definitely got cuddlier and needier as she aged, and tolerated us leaving for holiday less and less. I think the fact that she was generally less active and therefore had less distractions might have played a role, making us an even more essential part of her routine than before.
We never took her with us to a holiday destination, though, as we felt it would be too stressful since she was not used to it. Cats usually need a few weeks to acclimatise to a new place (at least that's my experience when moving)

Simply, that net is not for algae 😂 its most probably a shark net because it's likely that many tourists swim there. I'm from Durban, South Africa and we have that here in certain places.
It seems like traveling a few weeks before or after Christmas to somewhere warm is less busy too if you want to miss more winter. My parents and I were able to find cheaper super nice hotels in AZ in early December, and even Florida isn't too busy until late February.
