Stop Chipping With A Sand Wedge – Stan Utley

Too often players grab a lofted wedge around the green regardless of the lie or terrain between the ball and the hole.

There are plenty of options beyond just a wedge, which allows players of all abilities to choose a club that plays to their strengths.

Do you know where this was filmed?

  2. STupid – nobody would ever chip that shot — everyone would use putter. Dumb video

  3. Some great advice here and I agree with it. I am not a scratch golfer, teaching pro, club pro or low handicapper. So I use in my short game when it comes to chipping; putter, hybrid, 7 iron, PW, working on improving my skill level with my 57 degree wedge. Depending on the lie, and type of shot I need, I will use one of these clubs. I use the right tool I'm comfortable with.

Stan Utley carries a nine wood!?

I use my 63*9* wedge 90% of the time from 70 yards out to fringe.
