While I agree with your 2 reasons for fat shots, they are certainly not the ONLY reasons. Whether a high-handicapper who doesn't understand "lift", or a low-handicapper who has a momentary lapse, THE most common reason seems to be the failed attempt at getting the ball airborne. Some golfers can't comprehend compressing the ball (downward), and attempt to "scoop". This affliction seems to occasionally affect the better golfer in the short game.
usually a technical moody feeling inside wont leave. when you give in to that hold yourself up and grip the ball before you put your eye on the goal of your hit. the swing lightly drill is a gradual curve in performance so make sure you don't tire out.
ok this is a bit weird but most of the explanation i didnt understand but i kinda did on a subconcious level. This is probably going to help my slice next time im at the range. Thanks
