TAYLORMADE STEALTH PLUS is this THE FASTEST DRIVER IN GOLF

Major influencing sources have been quoting faster ball speeds from the new Taylormade Stealth Golf Drivers, but is it true? Mark Crossfield is testing the latest Taylormade Stealth Plus model from Taylormade Golf. With a moveable weight and red face, aimed at the ‘better players’ for lower spin, is this the golf driver you should be testing or even purchasing next. Moving on from titanium driver heads, after 20 years in the making, is the new carbon era the next revolution in golf. Let me know your comments in the comment section below.

  1. The cor is. 83…. There is no such thing as a 320y bomber. Period.

  2. Thomas Block says:

Just getting serious about golf and have a question. How is it that the sport that has the most garish of clothing choices gets soooooo hung up on a color for a club face? Astonishing.

  3. BUDINO says:

Change the batteries in your fire alarm

  4. Matt Artiste says:

which shaft was this XXIO driver mounted on?

  5. Any news on why these have been recalled by TaylorMade?

  6. golfaddict says:

..I am looking at getting the stealth driver possibly……i currently just got the stealth irons with red ventus shafts and the DHY clubs in the same shaft….my question is should i stick with the ventus red shaft for the driver ? in regular ? my swing speed with driver is 89-94 mph….i usually hit a high ball…i am looking for distance…. more the better …lol i am thinking of also getting my driver length at 44 – 44 1/4 ….im only 5'7 and 57 years old…….what shaft do you think would suit me most ? thx cheers keep up the good work

  7. walker b says:

I’ve been playing with the Stealth for about a month now and it has made a MASSIVE difference in my game. I used to dread the tee box but with this driver it’s something I look forward to

  8. TheDangk says:

Wondering if these stealth feel like sim? Hated the feel on sim loved the m2

  9. Gary Verth says:

I'm just looking for a driver that feels good for me. That's all I need I know they are limited. Original M2 was the best feel so far stability wise.

  10. Max D. says:

What’s the difference in the shafts for the two drivers?

  11. Mark, I bet this driver face will only get stronger over time. Carbon softball bats require a 'break in' period until you see peak performance, I would wager the same thing here. Try this test again in a few months and if I'm right send me driver 😉

    Revolutions are Red

  13. ohiomoto says:

Revolutions are red…but it sure is a pretty club! 🙂

  14. Your last sentence is spot on. They actually don't have anywhere else to go because it is all regulated.

  15. Josh Leech says:

The red face is like the wood paneling on cars. Eventually very dated looking. Too gimmicky for me. But the rest of the club looks good. As far as looks alone, Titleist makes the best looking drivers in my opinion.

  16. Michael says:

You're THE REVOLUTION Mark – no need to be red faced about it. Mr 262 has gone.

  17. Liked the stealth but, it's to quiet. Sim has a better sound

  18. mpkelley20 says:

I was fitted for this and went with the standard stealth with an air speeder shaft in stiff. First time in 2 years I’m seeing distances in my sim over 300 yards again. Easily added ball speed and feels like my old FT3 driver which used to be my favorite driver prior to this. Just explodes off the face.

  19. Ian Jones says:

    Revolutions are red… TM fitted me..Stealth 10.5 in ventus 5 r.. minus 0.5"… added 20 yards on my m5…
Was it the fitting.. was it stealths red face.. don't bloody care… its a great product..
    Well happy..

  20. REVOLUTIONS ARE RED
It happens in all sports! When I used to play football, I wore Adidas Predator boots. Every season, they’d change the design of the rubber bits, or the colourways and patterns but how much affect it had, I’m really not sure. Like you say about the Taylormade drivers, I just bought them because I liked them, rather than for any technological advancements.

  21. that's exactly the same as Apple/Samsung's phones alright.. running out of reasons to make the sheeps buy the latest and greatest every 1-2 years so they start getting inventive with new "features" or worst.. they design for planned obsolescence!!! shame on them. thank god golf companies don't do that.. yet…

I'll be interested if these hold up over time. It doesn't seem to me that using it in the face is taking advantage of the high in-plane strength of the graphite fibers – in fact their website advertising says as much (It's exceptionally strong along the lines of fiber orientation. However, if you stretch it perpendicular to the flow of the fibers, it can be susceptible to damage.) In the airplane business, we had to design graphite parts accounting for the strength reduction of material due to potential delamination between the layers of the material. The worry was there could be non-visible damage caused by a mechanic dropping a wrench on a wing skin, etc. Pounding a golf club face with a hard ball going 100 mph thousands of times seems a recipe for a damaged face. Maybe that's the real purpose of the polyurethane coating on the face. I guess time will tell.

  23. Tan Man says:

I just spent $550 on EPIC last year, are you saying this is better?…lol

  24. Aaron Stora says:

    Revolutions are red.
Oh my taylormade is at it again. Regardless they do make nice stuff but still not as nice as the tsi3. 😁

  25. I personally love the carbon more solid sound. I appreciate your comments Mark but seriously the childish sarcasm is a little bit old and silly now!

  26. James Hibbs says:

What about dispersion? I don’t think I have seen you hit a better set of drives. Isn’t that worth a mention?

  27. Here is the skinny on this Driver. Average golfer should try the standard or "D". Just a warning the plus is for above average players. It has quite a learning curve to adjust correctly. Comparing to Sim/Sim2 it has a lower ball flight, but the ball and face reflection with rollout is interesting. Sound is what it is, performance nullifies any negatives. There is an issue with tail weight, a kit is available thru fitters. Advice get fitted with balls used, and big improvement with TP5X straightened ball flight "Hmnn". Be prepared to get function and balance in real world play.
