The Driver Swing is so much easier when you know this

The driver swing is so much easier when you follow a simple system. Many of Danny Maude’s students have the same questions you have:

How do you hit driver straight? How do I hit driver consistently? How to hit driver further? More importantly how can I do all this without having to think of too many things over the golf ball.

You see over the years the golf swing has been chopped up and dissected into so many pieces it can sometime feel like it will take forever to learn.

But don’t believe that. This is the old school way.

The new school way is to learn your swing. We are all built differently, different shapes and sizes, different levels of strength and flexibility. Should we all swing it the same way?

Take a look at the the hottest golfers in the world right now. Dustin Johnson, Mathew Wolff, Victor Hofland. They have chosen to adopt the new school way. They have chosen to find a golf swing that works for them rather than fit into a model that someone has designed.

In this weeks golf lesson I give you an amazing golf drill that will truly help you hit driver straight, hit driver further and hit driver consistently.

Here’s the practice plan and summary of this weeks lesson

Thanks for stopping by. I created this website as a resource just for you to support you on your golfing journey as I know how tricky learning this game can be…to say the least!

I personally found learning the game too long and difficult in the early days. I read all the books, watched all the videos but my game was not improving. Then after studying various forms of neuro science, motor learning, psychology and personal development in less than two years I went from struggling golfer to the final stage of the Open Championship.

On YouTube and my personal website ( I will bring you the most up to date training, training that is getting tangible results for my clients right now. I don’t know where you are in your golfing journey, you could be just starting out or maybe your body isn’t as flexible as it once was or you’ve got ambitions to slash your handicap. Wherever you are I’ve created a place here you can learn, share your ideas, ask questions and get all the support you need to enjoy this great game.

Be prepared though. If its a quick fix you are after Im not your man. Here I will give you step-by-step advice that you can take straight to the practice ground and apply to the course but it will require you to get stuck in, screw up…a lot, practice some more and then watch those scores tumble

I’ve had the pleasure of coaching thousands of students all around the world and if you are up for the challenge and are ready to get in the game…LETS GO TO WORK!

This golf lesson provides a couple of wonderful drills to help you hit your driver straight. If you are a beginner golfer and are looking for some golf driver tips that are simple and easy to do then you are going to love this.

I will show you the golf swing slow motion so that you can see what you need to do to improve.

We look at 3 things:

1. How to stop slicing your driver
2. How to swing more in to out or how to swing more inside out
3, How to get the correct impact position with driver

and I hope to do all this with simple golf tips so you can create an effortless golf swing

Hope you enjoy

      Thanks brother.

    2. Kenneth Tang says:

Just too much talking.. over and over again . So repetitive..
Didn't have the attention span to finish the entire video

    3. Kalevra says:

Hit my driver the best I ever hit it today thanks to this video.

    4. joeberma2007 says:

this video can be done in 3 minutes

    5. Thanks so much I recommend your videos to all golfers . I have a question . I OFTEN find hit the ground just before I hit the ball with my driver. I do this frequently

    6. I just wish I could swing half as good! Golf is so hard to even get to a standard to feel confident to play on a course!

    7. Danny, great content as always. Would you suggest using this same technique for irons? With the ball more in the center of stance of course.
      Thank you!

    8. Sumit Kapoor says:

      Hi Danny,
This video has changed my swing greatly.
However, I'm hitting my driver now on the down swing instead of upswing.
The ball flight has reduced, it goes much flatter and hits the top egde of my driver.
      Please advise

    9. Danny this is where all us golfer want to be to get the ball away cleanly and a decent distance im gonna spend these winter months adopting this method to see how it goes and prepare for next season

    10. mark keenan says:

Danny how far are you from wall when swinging driver? I have a simulator and I’m 7 feet from wall. I nowhere close to hitting the wall but I guess it’s in the back of my head and I struggle to swing free with my driver indoors.

    11. Ian Anderson says:

How Danny never managed to accidentally smash the cabinet with the club I'll never know. 🤣

    12. Great Video, Love the Content! Easy Subscribe !

    13. This is the most rilex style to hit the driver step by step..iam a lefty golfer..but this tips helps alot!thanks coach

    14. Taylor Brown says:

His “bad slice” would be a “I’m back baby!” for me 😅

    15. Barry Pagano says:

Your videos are great , easy to understand ..I would like to know some warm ups to do before my practice or game !??

    16. Nothing wrong with simplicity

    17. Mike Davey says:

Great video on rhythm. Any videos on starting the swing? Some form of trigger is essential. After all, one is standing, waiting to tee off! I personally have found that the Justin Thomas move – taking the club back very slowly to first parallel, then slowly back to the ball before immediately starting the backswing proper is a great start.

    18. Saving this video for next time I hit the range! Nothing has been working and I feel like I can produce much more distance than my 200 yard slice! This video might be the one that fixes me thanks!

    19. Really liked this demonstration, especially the thought of ‘letting go’

    20. linda nelson says:

This is a great lesson and I get a lot out of it but I have a woman I’m working with who has never played softball and has no concept of an athletic move. I guess I could have her throw a ball and teach her how to use her legs throwing it.
She’s made a lot of improvements but just wants to hit the ball longer.

    21. Whats the golf screen your playing on?

    22. Harris Mills says:

You have added 25-30 yards to my drive. Along with way better balance.
To top it off I hit 4 or 5 irons with compression and trajectory last week.
Something I have never been able to do consistently. I'm 67 years old and playing better golf than I ever have. Wish you'd been around when I was in my twenties.😀

    23. matt gordon says:

Great lesson dude!! These YouTube videos will have you arguing with your buddies all 18 holes!

    28. Isaac Young says:

      This was so helpful

    29. Brian Duffy says:

lol I love how his first loose swing he hits a bomb, but the simulator catches him tossing the ball behind him and 90 degree turns in to the woods. Blimey.

    30. John Cooper says:

Throws like a Britt😂. But I love the idea of forming the platform. Definitely makes the timing feel better

    31. hippy 100 says:

In a round of golf. you will hit 14 drives.. but you shot an 89. 1 under bogeys. Why not work on what you do from 50 feet from the fringe and to the hole? I only say this because there is SO much on hitting da bomb, and yes so little on chip-putt, or pitch chip putt.. or in my case Putt putt putt like a half dead lawn mower 😉

    32. Wayne King says:

Mate could you help me with hooking my driver I play off 7 my irons are mint but I just can't hit my driver I always seem to hook or over over draw it, I love your video mate I'm a huge fan of your content
