The Key To Mastering Your Short Game And Shooting Lower Scores || Zone vs Envy vs Inner Core

Today we’re shooting out the Discraft Zone, Axiom Envy and Trash Panda Inner Core to see which throwing putters should make my bag. I currently bag 5 different throwing putter molds, including a Berg and a Proxy, and 9 throwing putters total. This is WAY to many, so were going to find out which need to stay and which need to go.

  1. All of those straight shot yell Proxy to me. I highly recommend the Proxy in Neutron. Im excited to try it in Fission. Fission can be a bit flippy supposedly.

Glad to see you back man! I hope all is well. As far as putters I bag, if you don't include my putting putters I have: 1 Halo Polecat, 2 aua Praxis, ! ethos Praxis, a crystal flex Zone and an ESP Zone

  3. Micah Milam says:

Would love to hook you up with one of the best throwing putters you’ve probably never heard of. The sea otter from Wild discs. I’d be happy to pass along both it and some other molds for you to check out. I play liberty and Crockett all the time

  4. Manny Davis says:

I personally wouldn't consider the 4 speed overstable disc a putter but they do get marketed as such. I began to love throwing putters while working on my form over the past year. My go to throwing putters are my Star Invader, Star Wedge (for the hyzer-flip turnover shots/lines), and the Toro for both backhand and forehand. Its something I'd totally recommend for all players, especially ones that wanna learn how to get good at line shaping in the woods

  5. KobbZ says:

1 putting putter (still debating), 1 throwing US/S (Praxis glow + ethereal), 1 throwing S/OS (Jokery base + ultrium), 1 OS approach/utility (A2 300 + 500). + a bonus K3 hard Berg. Left on the shelf I have Reko, Pilot, Nomad, Proxy, Envy, Sparta, Hope, Breaker, Rhino, Z zone, Pig, Jarn. I try to narrow down my bag to 15 molds max

  6. Another good video, looks like you’re taking to the woods nicely!
You mentioned throwing flippy discs uphill and that’s something I’ve always heard. You want the turn of the disc to kind of counteract the gravity of a hyzer shot for a little more distance uphill.
I’m also a big fan of several throwing putters I bag 3 to 4 different molds. The Lat64 Pure and Sinus have been in my bag the longest. I’m still beating in the pure for my flippy option. I’m considering a Zone but I also throw a moonshine DD Culprit and I really love that disc 240 and in.
Thanks for your efforts and I appreciate your content!!

  7. Caleb Dyer says:

I bag a culprit for overstable and 4 envy’s for the rest of the slots

  8. Very useful video, Andrew! I did similar testing for myself and I narrowed down my putt and approach discs to Aviar, Aviar3, AviarX3, Rhyno, Pig. Aviar for putting and sub-100' straight approaches, and the other 4 cover every stability range I need.

  9. My game has gotten so much better discing down for everything. Drives, approaches, you name it. It’s not even a distance thing – it’s the reliability of the landing. Higher speed is faster spin, farther skip/fade at the end. Not for me for wooded golf.
