It seems like with TW aboard, the scales will tip more toward the top players. Remember Rory’s comment to the lesser player was to “play better” and the PIP is basically made for the star players to earn millions. The tour is too big to accommodate all players. How about creating a major and minor league within the tour splitting the rankings in half with relegation for players to move up. They will have to play better to get to the “big leagues” or start in another tour like some of the current stars did. Just saying…

PIF never should have dropped the monopoly litigation. They had then lost their leverage. This news is just empowering the LIV haters and empowering PGA to do what is best for them. The continued discussion of how to allow LIV players back in shows that they are still not realistic in their thinking as the LIv players have said they are not coming back much less with “punishment” attached. If the end goal is to provide us fans with all the best golfers playing together, then this looks far from it. It seems like business as usual, with only the PGA players making gains in their involvement but no strides to unification of the tours. In fact it just strengthens the division. Where are players reps for LIV and DP tours regarding policy if this is really about unification. Keep LIV and DP separate and just revise OWGR system to provide a fair system for LIV and DP tours so they can qualify for majors. Unfortunately, that’s never happening as the OWGR is not an objective entity and have their own agenda and is in the pga pocket. It’s currently a sad state of affairs

So Tiger and Phil don't get along. I wonder if the players will agree to the agreement if, and only if, the LIV group becomes mini-tour like, i.e., the purses will be minuscule. In effect, this would freeze out the LIV players. This would probably lead to the set up a new World Tour with another group becoming a sponsor. That is, assuming a recession doesn't break the bank first.

  10. George Wyatt says:

The Tour will do what Tiger says. Hmmm … expect anything different.

  11. So 2 of the 6 "Player Directors" are partnered with the PGA Tour in an outside joint business venture. What could possibly go wrong?

  12. Kevin 14 says:

Conflict of interest on that board is becoming staggering. This isn't a just a player coup this is a Tiger and Rory TMRW coup

  13. Andrew, Dom…. If possible …Please allow the live chats to be seen in the replays.

  14. So the PGA went socialist

  15. Tour players will have a majority on the tour policy board. Non Tour members will propose policy, but the players, assuming they vote as a group, will have the up or down authority. They'll be on the hook for taking Saudi PIF money. Likely they'll accept the money just like Monahan, Dunne and the attorney.

  16. Feds got to step up and rule against this monopoly before these fools destroy the game of golf, it's history, and traditions as we use to know it.

  17. Paul J Cross says:

    Woods is not a businessman….he's a golfer

  18. Paul J Cross says:

PIF deal will be killed by Tiger and his company will make a proposal…Tiger wants it all!

  19. Paul J Cross says:

Has Herlihy disclosed how many $millions in fees his law firm has earned from PGAT?

  20. Missed the live chat this morning. My day feels incomplete already. 😢
