He hinges his hands almost like hitting a lob wedge, I wonder how much spin he's got. Very efficient though.
Funny. After a long time of figuring out my own swing to a point where I feel I've got consistency, control, and power, I've stuck with an initial forward push, a short backswing that feels like 50%, and hands turning very early. I should have just watched and emulated Tony Finau from the get-go!

Seven years already passed when I started out playing and all those years were full of practices and lessons. I managed to become more knowledgeable about many golf ideas like grip, ball position and through swing drills. My previous handicap is 13, but now I am starting to drop it. If you focus on his left leg and hip, he posts up asap in his downswing when he pushes the small squat up. Most of us do something similar and don't even know it, but if you focus on accentuating that left leg post up right as or before the club is releasing, a lot of natural and effortless golf ball annihilating speed will be produced. I believe this is one of the things in the average players swing that is not pronounced enough, or is absent altogether. I'm working on it myself. It's a natural motion. To feel it pretend you are skipping a rock on water or throwing a ball as fast as possible without losing balance and form. The moment right before you would let the ball or rock go is your personal impact position.
At 6'4 and 200 lbs he puts a hurting on anything he hits especially if the object to be pounded stands still long enough 🙂
