Trackman VS Full Swing Kit | OUTDOOR TEST w/ Rangefinder | Worth the price? ($25,000 VS $5,000)

Big thanks to Laurenz for being a part of this video! He’s a legit Div 1 player in the German Golf Bundesliga playing for Munich Golf Club.

You find the Full Swing device here: www.fullswinggolf.com/kit-launch-monitor/
Trackman can be found here: www.trackman.com/

If you’re looking for an indoor unit, I’ve made the best experiences with Foresight but that’s a completely different use case.
Foresight is available through: www.foresightsports.com/

  1. Martin love your content specially the tech stuff… can i ask im getting left hand wrist pain specially swinning hard with my Driver. Not locking my thumb anymore helped but do you prefer thicker grips on drivers and irons and have you tested it for Speed? Love the content!

  2. Only 5k? Your pants cost that!

  3. I use TrackMan. And honestly, sometimes it is all over the place. Especially the impact location. compared it with impact tape and it sometimes reads hard out the heel when it was a near centre strike.

For a pro….yes. The rest of us…..no. Love the video!

  5. MJ Karwal says:

    Content King… thanks!

  6. Rob S says:

GC3 would be somewhat similar price point to this.

  7. Rob S says:

Very nice. Does it have Dynamic Loft, AoA, and Land Angle as well?

  8. It's Atekiar says:

I’m stuck between the full swing and the gc3. Not sure which to get, was gonna go gc3… but full swing is still tempting me

  9. PapyGolf says:

Good job, Martin, makes things get a little bit closer to reality. ✌️

  10. Avy says:

Outdoor i prefer the track man indoors I like the quad depends on what I’m working on but lean towards quad cause of the club data

  11. Great video. Thanks Lawrence!

  12. Can anyone buy me a launch monitor please ?😅

  13. Martin could you buy me one jajajaja, please ?

  14. How accurate was the range finder?

  15. Great video Martin!! I would like to see a comparison with club- & ball data with different device's. Like Skytrak+, Fullswing, Trackman, …

  16. You never mentioned if TrackMan was normalized or not, and I doubt your buddy got EXACTLY where the ball hit due to not wanting to get hit by your ball speeds.

I say this being TM is accurate within 12 inches of 100 yards and 18 inches of 200.

  17. Matt Coulson says:

I really enjoyed this video and would like to see a comparrison with the GC Quad purely to see the accuracy of an optical system by comparrison

  18. I think he's lazering the shack behind you.

  19. Prgr and trackman and quad swing speed

  20. For the average scratch players, the Fullswing should suffice. Besides, who has 25k just laying around for a golf gadget.

  21. Can you do them with the swing speed 💪

  22. Ray Lindsay says:

Hey Martin, awesome video! It's really intriguing to watch these monitors being tested outdoors individually. We've actually been conducting tests on all units in our Simulator premium room for the past few months, and it's fascinating to see how some of them can interfere with data. By the way, the editing was spot on and I couldn't stop laughing — great job! Keep up the fantastic work! 😄

Doppler radar is not complicated. The patents go back to the 1930s. Processing the data returned is extremely complicated. It's all on the software side after tuning the radar for what you are looking for. There won't be many updates on the hardware in 50 years. It will still be about the same size, maybe even bigger. The electronics will continue to get smaller, but you need a receiver that's bigger.

The Mevo for example is a radar based unit but interpolates flight like the GC2 and Quad. That's because it's too noisy to track the whole flight on such a little receiver. It just tracks the first part.

What we might start to see are better camera based monitors, and cameras combined with radar.

  24. If you can get a Garmin R10, Rapsodo MLM2 Pro, Flightscope Mevo and Swing Caddie and test with those vs quad over the course of time that would awesome as well.

  25. Marc Olson says:

Borgy let see something really cheap, the Garmin R10 is $600. I'd like to see how that compares…

  26. Definitely keep comparing. Great content

  27. bryangks says:

Flight Scope comparison would be nice 👍

  28. FlyWithMe666 says:

3:41 to be fair, who knows what the range finder actually lasered at over 350 yards … Martin, the shed behind, something else? Range finders also get to their technical limits at such long distances.

  29. Awesome comparison! So this full swing kit is just a standing unit? Can't relay data to your computer or anything like that?

  30. Critique… based solely on my opinion… the Trackman size makes it look like a serious piece of equipment. While I understand that some people may prefer a smaller unit, I think if the Fullswing were the same size as the Trackman, it would be more widely adopted. The distances look very good in comparison. I think someone told me that the Fullswing sees the ball for 100 yards and the trackman sees it for 300 yards. If that's the case, then the algorithm in the Fullswing is very good at calculating the remainder of the flight. It looks like a good value. I will be interested in seeing how well it handles high ball speed and high clubhead speed in future videos. Great content (as usual). Thanks for sharing. 🙏👍

This is one of the best & most useful tests, and I've been waiting FOREVER for someone to do a test between actual measurements & machines…

    THANK YOU!

And the Trump shank… AWESOME addition… any time that far oaf f's up & proves how much of a dope he is, and it's on video, the world is just THAT much better. 🤣🤣

  32. Jf Vezina says:

Yep quad comparaison will be nice

  33. The fullswing KIT looks pretty good. It's missing a few data points that Trackman has that I use regularly. I use a trackman at the indoor sim room and for example, Low point distance is a very useful measurement for me at the moment for working on swing consistency. I personally have a cheap Garmin R10. It's better than nothing and if you know that it's not perfect you can work with it a bit, but I wouldn't trust it completely. The Fullswing KIT looks reasonably trustworthy, but here's a question – if you broke a Ball Speed world record on it, do you think it would be accepted in the LD community? Or for that would only numbers on a GC4/GC3, Trackman or Flightscope be accepted?
