The lats (or side of the upper back) are a MAJOR restrictor of rotation in the back swing (especially for those of us who like a good lat pull down or are just hunched over a screen all day)
The obliques (side abs) are a conduit for power in your golf swing and are the muscles responsible for creating rotation of the spine. Weak or dormant obliques are a MAJOR power leak for your golf swing!
Before your next round try a Side Bend with Arm Reach which will
✅ lengthen your lats for added rotation
✅ activate and wake up your obliques for better power transfer
