Every week on Skillest I provide for my followers an exclusive video called Fix It Friday. In this episode I discuss a subject called the “chip putt” this is a great starter if you want to improve your chipping from just off the green. A lot of amateur golfers will try to emulate the tour players and grab a wedge and try very complicated strokes. Now I agree if your an elite golfer yes play those shots, but if your a weekend warrior this is definitely for you. To make it simpler, try playing the chip from just off the green as a putt, but using an lofted putter. I would start with three different clubs. 7 iron, 9 iron and sand iron. These clubs will offer 3 different flights and roll on the ball. Practice these when you next play to get a feel for it.
