Just bought 225's. I was fitted for them but have not play a round yet. Can't wait!

  2. I’m a solid 4 even if I done play for long stretches, the 225’s are perfect for me. I don’t need a harder club to hit, I need a more forgiving club so when I miss I’m not penalized, the 225 is a bit bulky at address but is sweet to swing

I'm playing off 18 and gradually improving. Had the 225s for 3 months and they are great. Miss hit the odd one but that is more than made up for by the feel, low strike forgiveness – and more importantly they make you feel like a pro. Don't be afraid of these if your handicap is in the teens. Great vid lads.

    Compare honmas vs mizunos too😥

I'm a 15 HC and play with the Titlest CB 714. I'm probably not good enough to fully utilize their function but I loved the look and feel. My short game is the score killer.

Love the 223 and 225. Not sure which way I'm leaning. Probably 225

Hi. In one of your articles, you have a chart comparing the Mizuno irons, with "Ball speed drop-off" and "Carry drop-off" numbers. Are these general front to back dispersion numbers, or centre hits versus off-centre? The reason I ask is because the 221 Pro and 921Tour are deemed the least forgiving, but the chart shows they have the least drop off… so a little confused :), implying they are very forgiving 🙂

225 is unbelievable engineering. Significantly progressive design features through the set, copper underlay, tungsten, acoustically tuned without foam filler and the most beautiful exterior of any player's distance iron. Home run for Mizuno. The only improvement, IMO, would be a 227 with more forgiveness and speed for those out to 16 or 18 hcp, seniors and ladies.

Amazing video, Great information as always. I'm realy loving this idea for a combo set, why not makes the most sense, the scoring clubs ,for me I have to have the correct distance and spin on a pure hit, I've had many flyers with the stronger lofted scoring clubs, Anyway who cares what I think, Outstanding information, Thanks Guys,

Hi Guys! Super video! I’m wondering if you can answer a question: How does the Wilson D9 Forged irons compare to the Mizuno Pro 225 irons? Feel, Look, Performance? Thank you 😊

  10. Switched out my MP58’s for 921 Forged last April. Almost a birdie a round difference last year. Miss hits with my 921s seem not to hurt anymore and the feel is pure Mizuno.

  11. guys, i want a forged iron and im a 18 handicapper…. 223 im guessing is way too much iron for me?

  12. Just when I thought it could not get any more confusing you guys come along. Jpx 921, jpx 921 pro, jpx 921 forged, jpx hot metal jpx Hot metal tour and on and on and on so in my own best interest I need to go to a different brand. You managed to talk me away from mizuno's. Thank you

I'm between 16 (summer conditions) and 19 (winter conditions) and ordered the 921 HM's today after a fitting.. I take all the help that I can get to get to the single digits. now the waiting begins..

  14. UnknownMoses says:

Love the 225's but I'd like to see them with the 223 lofts.

As one who has spent their career in metalworking, I really like Mizuno irons and appreciate the quality that goes into them. But I can't help but laugh a little at the marketing of the copper coating as something that gives these irons that Mizuno feel. The copper is literally only microns thick, and it is used in the plating process to fill small voids in the steel before chrome or nickel plating to give it a real nice smooth surface. Otherwise, more layers of chrome or nickel would have to be applied and more polishing would need to be done. It would get quite expensive. Don't get me wrong, I'm not bashing them. Actually, I think I admire their creativity in the marketing department, to be honest.

Really interesting. I use jpx850forged. But thinking of getting new irons. I’m off plus 1 but just happy to hit the ball straight or soft fade. And be forgiving. Maybe the 921 forged would be that or the 223. I don’t want jacked lofts really as don’t want to move from 52,56,60 wedges. Thought?

  17. Kirk Santure says:

No questions, just wanted to say great video

  18. Great video guys. After a recent fitting, I’m considering a combo set between the 223 and 225 (Srixon ZX7/ZX5 combo is still on the table too). Where would you split the set, and how would you adjust so you don’t have too large a distance gap where the set is split? Bend the players’ iron strong, or bend the players’ distance iron weak? Even a mix of both?

  19. R S says:

Great video that was really helpful. Thanks

  20. I am off 7…initially I was leaning to the 225's but I don't really need extra distance as I average about 175-180m with a 7 iron so maybe the 223's are the best option
