Worlds #1 Coach Shares Right Arm Secrets With Me – Live Golf Lesson

Move your right arm like this in the golf swing and you will feel like cheating. In this golf video Danny Maude has a golf lesson with the #1 coach in the world Pete Cowen. You will learn that by getting the right arm in the correct starting position with driver and irons the golf swing just feels easy.

When you get the right arm in the correct position it helps you get a perfect backswing. In fact once you have locked the right arm in place Danny shows you exactly how to move the right arm perfectly with his signature dumbbell move.

But the golf lesson wouldn’t be complete without knowing how to move it in the downswing. Danny Maude has you covered. There is no room for loads of complicated swing thoughts in the golf swing so you need something super simple.

ABOUT DANNY
———————–
Thanks for stopping by. I created this website as a resource just for you to support you on your golfing journey as I know how tricky learning this game can be…to say the least!

I personally found learning the game too long and difficult in the early days. I read all the books, watched all the videos but my game was not improving. Then after studying various forms of neuro science, motor learning, psychology and personal development in less than two years I went from struggling golfer to the final stage of the Open Championship.

On YouTube and my personal website (www.dannymaude.com) I will bring you the most up to date training, training that is getting tangible results for my clients right now. I don’t know where you are in your golfing journey, you could be just starting out or maybe your body isn’t as flexible as it once was or you’ve got ambitions to slash your handicap. Wherever you are I’ve created a place here you can learn, share your ideas, ask questions and get all the support you need to enjoy this great game.

Be prepared though. If its a quick fix you are after Im not your man. Here I will give you step-by-step advice that you can take straight to the practice ground and apply to the course but it will require you to get stuck in, screw up…a lot, practice some more and then watch those scores tumble

I’ve had the pleasure of coaching thousands of students all around the world and if you are up for the challenge and are ready to get in the game…LETS GO TO WORK!

3, How to get the correct impact position with driver

and I hope to do all this with simple golf tips so you can create an effortless golf swing

Loved this Danny. I think this will help me more than any other golf instruction out there. Makes so much more sense. For me just focussing on putting pressure on the ball with my right forearm makes everything else work. I got stuck having too many swing thoughts.

  2. narogamas says:

Brilliant lesson but as you demonstrate though unless you have Peter there for immediate feedback……

  3. timrutter66 says:

For the YouTube short of this, I dare you to play the Hovis music in the background

Loved the lesson and enjoyed the conversation even more

  4. This is my exact problem. My best shots are when I achieve what he is saying. My problem is that it only might happen twice a round leaving me to scramble to try and save par/bogey.

  5. darrencope1 says:

Brilliant lesson, did you ask pete how this would effect driver? If I’d you should do anything different? Many thanks

  6. Ivan Camphor says:

Also by holding the palm of the hand and wrist in that position how do we release after impact

  7. ray says:

Certainly a great video, but wondering if this doesn’t conflict with many of your own instructional methods?

  8. This is absolute gold,… there are very few examples online of Pete's methods other than the general concepts. This is one of the secrets of golf that great coaches agree on, thank you for sharing!

  9. Mac Wally's says:

Danny for me it isn’t clear what my right arm en wrists exactly must do? Is it possible to show that in slow motion? That would be a great help. Thanks

  10. Mar New says:

Amazing to watch Danny thanks for sharing, such an altruistic thing to do..

  11. Ian Jarvis says:

would this technique work for all the clubs or just irons / fairways

  12. Nigel John says:

Everybody seems to understand what was being explained here but I am afraid I did not understand at all what is meant by spinning the right arm down? Perhaps you could do another video and explain it in your own words as I always understand what you are trying to explain.

  13. thhovmand says:

Now we have to see a driver lesson to😊😊 🏌️🏌️

  14. Koenraad says:

This is so gold. I have been researching a lot of Pete Cowen and trying to get some of the feelings he is talking about. This lesson is a great summary of that. But for me this all only makes sense after I got to feel it myself.

  15. James Todd says:

    such a good video!!!

  16. Paul Stewart says:

I got a very slight peak into maybe half of what this feels like once. One of the very rare flat lies on a Scottish course (Parkland), and I'm out of the running. Terrible front nine, and all hope was dashed, and I hit a 7 iron to advance it up on a par 5 and it felt like I hit nothing, and was in perfect balance with myself. The ball was at it's peak before I even got my eyes on it, and since then, I have no idea what I done to get it out there. But it had that noise, and I guess i'll play golf now and it'll happen once in a blue moon because lets face it, no one at club level is teaching this.

  17. Lubo86 says:

Have you tried this out on the range or course yet Danny?

  18. Love it. But if you struggle with it Danny. Not sure how us mere mortals are supposed to pick it up

  19. AstroPix UK says:

Wow…. What a lesson and now a million things going through my head. Some drills for us to try from this session would be great Danny.

  20. Tim D says:

Thank you for the great video. Initial exploration of this on the range produced many aha moments. Hopefully this can be consolidated in search of the consistency grail. Has Alex Noren's exaggerated preshot drill evolved from his work with PC?

  21. Omg, tried this just in my house straight after the video, my right shoulder feels so tight, never felt that in the golf swing before! Can’t wait to try on the range.

  22. Les Hill says:

Hi Danny. Thanks for the video and although I've watched this several times I'm still not absolutely clear what's happening with the right forearm. I think it would have helped me understand if Mr Cowan had his sleeve rolled up. Perhpas you would be kind enough to release a video on this aspect of the swing after you've had a chance to ingrain the feel yourself.

  23. This is the one Danny. This is THE ONE! I tried this on a practice area and on range and even with my sore back I hit the most solid shots ever. And easy! As a seniorgolfer I really think I've now found something to improve my game. Million thanks and all the best!

  24. Simon Harris says:

Hi Danny, this is brilliant content, would you use this throughout the bag? so for hybrids/woods and driver?

  25. Reminds me of some of the Mike Bender instruction on Instagram. Great to see UK version. Thanks!

  26. keimolantio says:

    Does same apply to driver?

  27. When Cowan was demonstrating the move through impact he was showing the right wrist hitting but maintaining extension. When Hogan illustrated his strike wishing he had three right hands he also talked about bowing his left wrist through impact and maintaining flexion in the left wrist . As someone who has always felt the lead side dominating would I be achieving the same result by feeling the back of the left hand covering the ball as opposed to the right palm?

  28. many thanks my friend 🙏

  29. Tony says:

Amazing… All the different coaches I've had in the past have never explained that like this before… 🙂 spin it down lol…. When he says spin Danny it would appear its more like a punch as the right arm straightens, take it the rotation of the body is what squares the club face up?

Weird how so many lessons I've had where the pro wanted my knuckles on the left hand facing the ground.. this action Pete has instructed is the contrary. Next time I'm down your neck of the woods I'll book up a lesson with you. Cheers pal. 🙂

  30. Ivan Camphor says:

I’m not sure about the right arm spin …. There is no spin it’s just a turn the terminology is confusing

  31. What a privilege to get these sorts of insights. I feel like I should have paid for the video it was that good. Loved the instructions and analogies throughout – can't wait to try this. Like others have commented – would really love to know how (if at all) this transfers across to driver/woods as these are the clubs I personally struggle with the most for consistency.

  32. russell ord says:

    Fantastic content.

  33. rcp says:

Thanks Danny! Very brave of you to present another coach on your channel. This idea from Pete is exactly what I have been searching for. My confidence has increased 100% by just doing this move on my small piece of 2×3 artificial golf carpet in my living room. Can’t wait to get to the range and course to see how it works with a ball. ❤

  34. Wow. Pete Cowen is a master. You sir are a champion and we are all very grateful. I'm going to practice this until I get it. Cheers.

  35. ezvue says:

What an incredibly sharp eye he has. Nice to see you go thru the process with a few hiccups. Makes it relatable.

  36. Thanks for sharing this iron lesson, I love it. 😊 Does it apply to driver shot?

  37. Great video! Thank you ☺️ 😊

  38. Ben Jonson says:

Do not understand this spinning idea.
