Kids these days…Am I right? Well…maybe. But hasn’t the world been saying that of contemporary youth since the dawn of time? While the adolescents that populate today’s classrooms bring their own unique challenges for teachers to contend with, the problems posed to today’s educators are ones that we’ve been battling for generations. You could boil it down to a single question really – “how do we keep today’s students engaged?” Maybe we’ve been looking at it all wrong, though. Maybe, just maybe, it’s the teacher who holds the key to answering this great and timeless mystery. And honestly, it’s simple. Also, it’s like extremely difficult. Mr. Wenokur is a highly dedicated and experienced English teacher who has spent the last five years teaching in Frisco ISD. His passion for teaching and working with young people stems from his time living in Africa, where he discovered his true calling. After a short stint in the business world, Mr. Wenokur traded in his cubicle for a classroom and never looked back, knowing it was the best decision of his professional life.Kyle is a family man who cherishes spending time with his loved ones, playing golf, attending church, reading books, and traveling. He believes in leading by example and instilling the values of hard work, dedication, and compassion in his students and children.
