What size grips are you using?! This MAY change what you use..
So when I drive the ball 360m because I'm holding it in my hands, as opposed to 310m in my fingers, I'm doing it wrong? 🤣🤣🤣
All I can say is Bruce Lee's 1 inch punch…
Thanks much, previous video saying set the teed ball 1/2 above the driver head was great. I kept playing my slice but I ended up on the left side of the fairway. Haaa, now the slice is fixed and I can line up straight away. Thanks again
Have you ever looked at non-tapered grips?
I use oversized grips on all my clubs. Less tension in my hands, more club head speed and more control. Completely changed my game
Best grip fitting tip I’ve ever heard
I’m a senior player, but not with arthritis. After trying them out on my 7i, I just had all my grips changed from 360’s to Golf Pride CPX midsize. They are really soft and that allows me to relax my hands, and in turn my forearms without the feeling the club is going to fly out of my hands. Felt a bit weird at the beginning, as they have all these little bumps like BMX grips on them, but the difference is night and day. So much more control and I’ve picked up a little distance. For reference I play with a small glove, so it’s a bit counter intuitive to go up to a midsize, but unlike say MC’s the softness of the CPX’s seems to offset the extra thickness. I’d recommend them to senior players.
Thanks for that Alex. I've been wondering about this for ages. Now I know
I use thicker grips evwn though i dont have big hands it helps protect against over hooking the ball
Hi Alex! Very interesting cos I was using midsized grips on all of my clubs up until about 3 years ago and my game was getting worse cos I lost at least 25 – 30 yards on my driver and long irons. Then I tried a jumbomax XL on my driver and woods and LG on my irons and have been playing pretty good golf now. I was told by many pros and good players that big grips would not work for me but I have more confidence using those grips and I have gained at least 20 yards on each club now and really enjoyed the game even more now cos I have a better chance of reaching the greens on long par 4 to get up and down for par in a city tournaments lol. So, the big grips may not work for everyone but they did work out for me quite well. Just thought I share this info with golfers who would like to give it a try. Thanks for your tips Alex!
Checking now……my lambskin standard cross line grips fit perfect.must be something else wrong Alex. I’ll keep watching till I get it right. Thx for sharing your experience and knowledge with the YouTube followers.
I always have double-wrap on my clubs. I'm not a big guy but I use a XL glove and an old guy once told me always have bigger grips if you wear an XL glove.
Not wierd, I remember reading this in a basic golf instruction book…but book never said why…you do! Thanks. Also, the concept of the correct left hand hold is proven by a left hand swing only…a much stronger position to not release early.
I just had MCC +4 Align grips installed. I’m on my four round of golf using them. My miss with my driver has been a slice but I’ve hit a few hooks too. Funny thing, I was doing the same thing with the Standard sized grips. So, it’s probably not the grip size.
That Must be my problem…its not me, its the thickness of my grip. Sweew glad theres a reason. 😮😅😂🍻🇺🇲
Watched the video. Checked my grips. I have some oversized but mostly midsized. I can touch my middle finger to the hand pad on the oversized but only if I squeeze hard…midsized I gave no problem. Looks like I need a couple clubs regripped. 😮
Are undersize grips worth it for small hands. The dimensions seem like a very very small change from standard?
Well done alex 🏌♂️ 😊

That's mental had mine checked yesterday there to small having cpx mid grips fitted this week 😮
