Golf | Chipping | Stay Connected Drill

Stay connected during your chipping motion with this simple drill. Begin by taking your normal setup and place your lead hand on your chest and your fingers over your biceps. Make your chipping motion while keeping your hand connected to your chest and biceps. This requires proper body rotation, as relying solely on your arms leads to a lack of connection and inconsistent strikes. If your arm pulls away from your fingers, it indicates a lack of body rotation. After completing your motion, your body should face the target with your weight on your lead side, and your trial arm slightly bent. This is a difficult drill to execute properly, but if you master this drill, your inconsistent contact will disappear!
