    Great test!

    Shot shaping was same!

Which unit do you feel real distance?

    Thank you!

Hi mate, are you noticing that the ST+ is off on a few metrics more than you're comfortable with? I have tested mine on a range observing actual flights and anything that moves L to R is grossly exaggerated by the ST+, baby fades are finishing 15m off line. I am also finding it really hard to ever get a green box for launch, and I tested vs a mates Mevo+ which confirmed this (and subsequently peak heights is way lower on ST+ and further this is having an effect on carry. I'm hoping it is the range balls i'm using and not a defective unit. So far I wouldnt exactly say i'm happy with the 5k I forked out, but going to wait till my sim is finished and i'm hitting premium balls in a dark room before jumping up and down about it.

  4. Awesome video D. Have you had any conversations with rapsodo on when the connectivity issues will be fixed? Or maybe a better question, do you think it’s worth upgrading from my R10 to the mlm2 pro, or wait until I can afford the new skytrak?

I think the MLM2Pro has the be the choice for the budget builds. The R10 was bang on with carry and ball speed but sorely lacks on the side launch and spin axis. I am a little disappointed with the rapsodo native app though, not having the ability to play multiplayer on their sim is odd. I have enquired about that to their support and I just got a stock answer of "that feature is in our future plans". Do you know if the rapsodo comes with any free E6 courses like the R10 did? Id rather not have to get a double subscription with the MLM2Pro just to play multiplayer. I am really considering upgrading to the MLM2Pro for the winter. I just hope they do some updates to their native app to allow for multiplayer.

Thanks Dave, still on the fence here, the mlm2 is cheaper, but the 300au dollar annual fee, will add up pretty quickly which does lessen the price gap, still who knows what new devices will come out in just 2 years, I have a feeling that this technology is developing so fast, how long ago was it that 50 K was the cost of a descent sim, how long before launch monitors are incorporated into our smart phones, all they need do is add a couple more high speed cameras and the software, so pretty much any launch monitor you buy now will be like buying computers, expect to upgrade every 2 to 5 years, for this reason the Sky Track is at risk of losing more value than the mlm2, I’ve only had my R10 for less than a year and already it is falling behind. Technology, you love it but can be a money pit trying to keep up.
    Cheers

This confirms my decision to buy the MLM2PRO. I use it outdoors into a net. Can you recommend a good, easy to erect net, that I can use for all clubs from wedges through to driver. My current net is only 7 feet high and would not catch a skied drive or high pitch, so I only use it for mid irons and hybrids and fairway woods.

Thanks for the video David – very informative. I hardly hear it mentioned that the Skytrak+ and the MLM2PRO (which is what I have) are powered by the same tech. Hopefully they both will give us angle of attack eventually. I know the MLM2PRO gives us impact vision, but it would be great to see the number and align that what you see.
    Thanks again!

Check the elevation on the sky trak I've noticed that if you don't have that set up correctly you can lose 8 to 10 yards

This has definitely sold me on getting the mlm2pro. I don't want to drop $3k if I can get something so close for $700. Thank you for such great videos

  11. Trey Z says:

great video and comparison between the two. Both seem pretty close in accuracy to one another. They will always be a little off. I really appreciate the time you put into your videos. Very informational.

I may have missed it did you use the RPT balls. Having special balls is a no go for me. I use about 150 balls on my sim rotating through them. My wife and I both play rounds on the sim and having expensive balls or specially marked balls is a big negative.

    David, very good review, thanks.
Please don’t take anything I say as criticism, I can see how much time and effort you put into making these videos and I for one really appreciate it.
I have the MLMPro and the original Skyrak.
I have heard you say in a couple of your videos that you may not have the Skytrak lined up completely correctly so maybe it’s reading s may be a little off.
I can’t comment on the Skytrak + but there is only one way of lining up the original ST and that is by hitting chip shots until you see the ball hit the onscreen centre line AND the Skytrak is showing the ball going straight down the centre on both the ball direction and side spin indicators. Even Skytrak say don’t rely on the 2 red laser dots, they are not accurate.
Secondly, you must not have the Skytrak on the same mat that you are hitting from for the same reason you alluded to, the mat will either move, or even just shake enough to give false readings.
I am only making these points because you have put in so much effort that it would be a great shame if the numbers are skewed by these basic set up issues.

My own take on the MLMPro and Skytrak OG is I use both and will keep both until Rapsodo do the next big update on the MLMPro. I don’t have any problems with the performance, it’s great, but I am frustrated by the silly things they need to fix such as the screen starting up in portrait until later when it changes to landscape (where it should be from the beginning) and having to go through the process of selecting your home Wi-Fi every time instead it going straight to the previously selected Wi-Fi and so on.
Skytrak can be up and running in 2 minutes by comparison.

Great video David. If you look at the hardware involved I'm not sure why the Skytrak + is so expensive. Paying for R&D costs and the pricing is set to match rivals.

Great info again David. You know this already, I'm only commenting for the YouTube algorithm 😉
