I have been taught it exactly like this. I am a 14 handicap but short game is the best part of my game. I just have 3 different shots. This one (bump n run) with 8i, sandwedge chip, and flop. All you really need around the green.
I remember last year they had Mickelson in the booth for about half an hour and he was analyzing players and discussing shots, reads etc. His knowledge level is incredible, could listen to him all day.
