Save The Experiences

I discuss yet another busy week of summer where I went hiking, played disc golf for the first time, attempted droning, kept Pizza Hut in business, found an amazing waterpark, and got interested in pinball. Yard sale season also lives on and I got some deals this week. I also talk about growing as a person.

Building Ninjago city gardens and finishing it one day in the future is something to do while Clark is in school.

  4. This comment is pretty long, and not very well written, sorry.

I've been watching you channels since quarantine time. Yes I know it's not great to remember. I have recently started to listen to your podcasts. I had something to comment about knobels, memories. When covid started to dye down, my mom got the summer off from work (she is usually very busy) and a lot of those days we would mask up and go to a place called Indiana Beach which is about 30 min away from where I live (it is another area you could visit!) It is a small amusement park that is right on a lake that my mom went to when she was young with her parents. (She grew up like you, not going lots of places.) But I loved it. We would go there then to a superwalmart on the way home to look at LEGO. I didn't really think about how I was making memories then, but now I think back to when I was going with my mom and having so much fun. I am in my mid teens and I know some teens like to act like they don't want to be around family, but I would give anything to be able to do that again and spend time with my family doing that. My brother is leaving for college in a few weeks, it's hard to see him leave but I know it's a part of life. But I wish I could go back to when everything was normal and just have a blast. Sorry, I know this message isn't really written well. But I just wanted to tell you this so you know that when Clark a teen, I'm sure he would still love to be doing the things you guys are doing now. I feel like I was just a kid in grade school and now I'm in high school. Time goes so fast. I also wanted to comment on the fact that you talked about all the editing LEGO videos have now. I recently have started to make small videos. I like just having them be simple. But I also feel that I am not doing enough because all of these other people have explosions and all kinds of things in their videos. But hearing that from you I feel like I can keep doing what I am doing and enjoy the process. Have a great summer! Thank you for making all of your content. My mom, dad, brother and I all watch it! Thank you!

So Sundays are usually a busy day for me and I end up listening to these while I’m either driving to work or at work. Then I forget what I was going to comment later. I remember led this time. Talking about dragging kids out for a hike and they whine and complain at first then later they are running around laughing and playing and having a great time. Until you get lost in the woods and walking 10x further that you expected. Answering for a friend. I never did that 😂

Thrilled to have played any role in getting you and Clark out on the disc golf course! Genuinely hope you guys continue to play and enjoy, especially Clark! He could go pro (pro disc golf is a thing too), but it might be a little late for us Greg lmao. Looking forward to hearing (and seeing👀) more of your disc golf enjoyment journey. Greatest Greg's world crossover for me since some old mail time episode where you mentioned kendama, but that's another hobby rabbit hole for another day😅

  7. We are not melting to death in Florida. we just don’t go outside between 11am and 7pm

  8. Long Comment Warning ⚠️

I don't Normally Comment On The Podcast But I Thought That I'd Start as I Really Enjoy Listening Every Week And I Have Been Since January 2020. Talking Of 2020 The Lockdown Streams Were Some of My Ever Favourite Content On Youtube After Watching All all 5 Channels for a Couple Of Years You then Inspired Me To Create My 2 Youtube Channels About My Only 2 Hobbies Theme parks And Lego which are Growing alot Faster Than I Expected With Me Continuing To Upload Eeeevery Day and I'm Really enjoying it but Moving On from This Really positive Part Of the Comment To A Negative There was always One Part Of the Podcast I Could Relate To And That Was Roxy Growing Up As we had a Nearly 13 year Old Dog Sophie She Was Doing All The old Dog Stuff Like Not Being able To Do Really Long Walks and Struggeling To Jump In The car and On The Bed, But Last Week When We Really didn't Expect It Sophie Unfortunetly Started To Show Certain symtoms So We Rushed Her to The Vets And After a Few Tests we Found out She Had a Tumour Sadly The Next Day she Passed after nearly 12 Happy years With Us I Continue To Watch Roxy On Gregs World And Remember all Of The Happy times We Had With Sophie Just Shows how you Really don't Know How Long We Have with Our Pets and To Cherish Every Moment With Them Sorry For The Sad and Long Comment I Know you Love a Long Comment But This Ones on Another Level. I watched a boyfriend and girlfriend on youtube who thrifted and reselled together for years. Their channel was about their adventures together. Yes it was the boyfriends channel but the content was usually about both of them. I liked their dynamic and their different interests. Then one day she wasn't in any of the videos anymore and he made a fast joke to his friend about looking for a new girlfriend. That was it. Never addresses it or talked about it. A month later a new girl was filming him and slowly started being in some of his videos. The other day after months of this she was finally introduced in a video by name and as his girlfriend. It has felt so weird. I don't think content creators have to share their personal life or their life changes, but when they do share their personal life all of the time as part of their content and then act like nothing has changed it is a little off putting. It is just youtube videos and not a friendship so I'm not hurt or upset, it is confusing though. I think Nas Daily handled a breakup the best I have seen any content creator do. They didn't owe anyone an explanation but I think in sharing their experience it may have helped others.

I had to buy 2 of those $20 disc golf sets. We live about a mile from Knob Hill Park which has a great course we usually mountain bike through. Now I am going to stop, walk, and enjoy throwing some discs with my son. Looking forward to learning this new sport! Thanks! AND building on those memories!

Thanks for reading my comment last time and my experience. I truly am blessed to be here and make these new memories. I take nothing for granted! Enjoy the journey!

    Great podcast. So interesting.

  14. Next time your playing Disc Golf and look at bottom of basket and there is normally an arrow that points in direction of next basket. Need to bring the family to Nor California for a vacation and hiking. Look up Redwoods, amazing country and Smith River is amazing clear swimming. I believe its one of US clean rivers. You talking about Mountain Pie maker brings back memories for me with my grandpa . I remember deer hunting and wrapping food in tinfoil placing it under hood or truck, driving around hunting and then pulling hot food off engine. I know REDNECK at it's finest. Libraries will also have State Park pass to check out. It's amazing to use and save 10 or 15 bucks. Greg, you brought up Eminem and Tattoos, regrets. What tattoo are you hiding, lol. You seem like the spongebob type of guy or maybe tribal. Anyway, great stream and thanks for sharing. The Sunday stream always makes my work day so much better.

  15. I love experiences, too. I am sorry about your movie theater closing. I make it a goal of mine to give my grandson an 80s childhood. I have hunted out playgrounds with old school 8ft metal slides and merry go rounds, fireflies at night and found a payphone still in use.He called my phone.bought a vcr at a yard sale and watched Disney movies.watched knight rider and listened to a tape on a walkman.
