Video footage has recently been released showing Jermell Charlo training for the biggest fight of his life against Saul Canelo Alvarez.
Jermell is working on footwork, mobility, body shots and defensive maneuvers, while Canelo is playing Golf with 2x Super Bowl Champ and MVP Patrick Mahomes.
Some are saying that Canelo isn’t taking the fight seriously. Some are saying this will be Canelo’s downfall underestimating a slick black fighter like Jermell Iron Man Charlo.
Canelo has said in a recent interview that he plans on knocking out David Benavidez in the near future. He said the Mexican Monster, “who some say isn’t a real Mexican”, talks too much.
Canelo said talking sh*t to the cash cow and the face of boxing isn’t a way to make a fight.
This could be the reason why Jose Benavidez Sr is on an apology tour. Kissing Canelo’s ass in interviews, saying he’s sorry for disrespected the face of boxing.
Sources say that David Benavidez has even renounced calling himself the Mexican Monster. He’s returned back to his original nickname, “El Bandera Roja.”
As for Jermell Charlo. He hasn’t said a word since the big fight announcement.
And to add insult to injury. At 32 years old… Canelo has a networth of $180 million dollars and counting according to Forbes.
If you add the $100 million he’s making from Paramount Global. That would take him close to $300 million dollars by the time his contract is over with at Paramount.
Why is the White-man not paying Jermell Charlo, Errol Spence, Tank Davis, Terence Crawford, Deontay Wilder and other slick black fighters at the PBC $100 million dollar contracts?
Is this a conspiracy by the man to keep the brothers down? Or is it the fact that all the brothers I just mentioned don’t equal up to one Canelo from a business standpoint in the eyes of the white power structure?
Hopefully, Al Haymon can figure out a way to make sure his other black fighters can get $100 million dollar contracts like he did with Floyd Mayweather and Canelo.
