Thank you
People are blind and will not believe what's happening. Their waiting for severe conditions and then they will be looking for our stuff. Especially the people under 30 year's old. They call us crazy. I'm only preparing for wild foraging and living without the stuff they will be looking for. I can survive on what the earth provides. Not many people can do it. I pray that God takes me before it gets that bad.
Have doggy poop bags for your waste. You may need it to help grow your garden.
We just replaced old beans
When I was in Boy Scouts, we used sandy dirt to clean our pots and pans, βour mess kitβ.
Thank you for all you do for us πβ€οΈπβοΈ
I plan on sitting in a shower & pour warm water over myself, soap up, shampoo, & rinse.
Could also use an old galvanized wash tub, stand in it & do the same.
You could also feed water from a clean barrel, resting on a stand as tall as you like, gravity fed, to shower head or PVC pipe with several holes. Maybe cold,
or paint barrel black and leave in the sun. Just be prepared for anything. A bucket with sawdust or kitty litter & a toilet seat.
Prepping in the bush outside Hobart, Tasmania, I was surprised how mistaken I was about what I thought I had in the way of supplies.
When you've been quietly purchasing for months or even years, the chances that memory will fail is high.
I can't run Excel to save my life, but I can handle tables on WORD!
Feeling really chuffed to have all my supplies catalogued now, not only the comfort of knowing what I have, but to see the glaring gaps and inadequacies, and to start focussing on what is missing.
I heartily recommend tabulating a record of supplies, either on digitally or on paper or both. It takes a bit of time initially, but the payoff is huge!
In my experience, one thing to watch out for is first aid kits. Contrary to popular belief, they DO go bad. Especially the cheap ones. After a few years, the adhesive on bandages will no longer stick. The single serve wipes and ointments are in sub-par packaging and the alcohol and ointment leaks out of them. I'm currently going through my camping gear and repackaging it into bug out bags.
I do have a list of everything I am stocking. It does help.
