We review the latest mini driver from Taylormade, bringing back the Burner name with some new technology. Is this the solution for golfers who struggle with their driver and fairway wood?

I don’t disagree with these guys about going smaller, more aerodynamic. I don’t think I’ve ever felt as confident with a driver as I did with a Ping 380 back in the day. The difference in distance has been negligible over the years.
I have the 300 and love it. I saw no difference in numbers from carry/roll out from my driver. I ended up scrapping my driver for my mini. Biggest plus in the change is much tighter dispersion.
I play an old 11,5⁰ Callaway Big Bertha War Bird from 1998…240cc head. I adore this old driver and completely dislike hitting the modern 460cc heads. Planning a full bag fitting soon and this Mini is top list to test…maybe have just this as my driver. I want to test ZX5 and ST-Z / X 230 as well just to see if I can hit them ok. Much more comfortable with the smaller heads though…
I love this club. Fecking brilliant 🎉
Damn that's a duracell battery in the shape of a mini driver
Great video, what driving range is this? is it FSX 2020 or FSX Play?
That mini driver would be awesome in the wind.
The 3rd driver option from the different brands should always be a mini driver! If you need heavy weight in the heel to fix a slice then you need to take a lesson!!
It just seems that everyone was so lukewarm with the 300 and now everyone's singing praises of this one. Would love to see it head to head. Unfortunately anybody I know who had the 300 couldn't hit it worth a damn. Great vid as usual!
I tried this driver out the other day and was impressed what TaylorMade accomplished with this. I agree in that I think TaylorMade should use this as a stepping stone and build off this concept. Very well done.
Had a 300 in the bag, got the burner in 11.5 and the 300 is staying in the rack now. The biggest difference is the flight off the tee and the ease off the deck. I am pretty reasonable at hitting a 460cc driver off the deck but always struggled with the 300. This thing is a rocket launcher off the floor, even out of the light rough, the new sole plate seems to work alot better. Stock shaft is a lot nicer than the old 300 as well.
I struggle more than a little bit with driver, so I'm interested. I wonder, though what the final fitted cost would be, though. The stock price is already fairly high, though lower than other new drivers on the market. My feeling with something like this is that for that money, is it a good investment in my game, or would that money be better spent on lessons to fix my issues with driver? I love that companies are giving us options- competition is a good thing.
So it's essentially a TSR 2+ with an extra plus right?
How did you get your hands on a left handed model. Taylormade are only advertising RH models on their website.
Spec question: Full 1-inch tip on the Tensei?
I have trouble handling a full driver, so yes, I'd like to see more mini drivers.😊
Hit enough shots and throw the driver bracket matrix at it and lets see where it stands….

Great review!
This seems like a really interesting club. Wish more manufacturers would come out with one. In particular love to see what PING could do with this. Keep the great content coming!
I vote TSR3 bracket winner vs BRBR. Titleist is longer but BRNR is definitely a fairway finder.
Put a driver shaft in it and turn the loft down
