This is so much deeper than most of us get to explore.

  2. Dan B says:

Can I ask what ambient settings like temp and alititude you have your quad set on as 159 ball speed carrying 300+ is not realistic. Enjoy the review but definitely inflating your own numbers.

  3. Ian go back to the original Sim. You hit it miles.

  4. Ryan McBeth says:

If I take a TSR 4 10 Degree driver head with Ventus Velocore Red 5s. Set at 11.5 degrees Cut to 44" what would the weights in head need to be?

  5. Really love the TSr4 — surprisingly forgiving and long — still was spinning a touch higher than my og SIM but its nice to see some testing with the TSr4 — an overlooked option from Titleist — cheers guys!

  6. First name says:

You should have hit the stealth again then the tsr again. In my fitting I hit both and got the same as you because I hit the stealth first, then tsr 3, 5 shots each, then I hit another 10 shots with stealth and tsr each. The stealth won when all shots where done even though after the first 5 tsr won

  7. Chad macjack says:

Always loved the smaller head shorter drivers. Proof bigger isn’t always better. Great one guys!

  8. Fptsoccer9 says:

I see that Oak Hill swag Mike. What days were you there?

  9. Starnerd says:

Even though I don’t need a fitting now the next time I need to be fit and have a big budget I know where I’m going for my club fitting

  10. Rob Potter says:

Should have stuck with Ping 430

  11. I would love to see sequel to this video where you switch shafts and go again. Shorter shaft in TM Ventus black and longer with TSR4 and TRBlue.

  12. Impressive to see 300yd carry from less than 160mph ball speed

  13. Any chance of doing these tests outside with a trackman? Not sure if it's normailised and i know it's a downhill hole but the carry at the ballspeed doesn't seem right

  14. Ryan James says:

Great insight! Was it the ventus blue tr 6x in both drivers?

  15. Bandit Baker says:

Mrs Bandit prefers a long shaft with a large head……………just saying

  16. badbilly429 says:

Shorten the stealth and reweight it and retest

  17. Aaron Taylor says:

Ian, Was that an OG Ventus Black?

  18. The discussion between two experts about the results is really cool to listen to. I game a PXG 0811X Proto 9° with a G.D. Tour AD XC-6 X flex shaft. I got it off Craigslist about 2 years ago for $175. I hit it pretty good (about 240 with very good accuracy). I'm pretty sure the shaft is too stiff for me and the loft is too low. There's probably other room for improvement as well. I'm going for my first driver fitting tomorrow. The budget is $500. I'm really excited to see what happens. Videos like this give me insights on what to look for and questions to ask.

    Is this edited???
Ian hits it more accurately than a tour pro

  20. Joel White says:

Just went back and watched the "Build a Beast" series from a couple years ago, CRAZY the difference between the TSR4 in this video and that SIM2 from back then curious how has Ians handicap has changed since then?

  21. Why would anyone buy the Stealth 2 when the face insert pops out on so many heads? How would they not of foreseen this in testing?

  22. The plus was made to be workable. You should run a test where you have to work the ball right or left on the tee and see what one "works" better and doesnt just pull and push.

  23. Honestly Ian needs to a quarterly WITB.

  24. everyone needs to stop pretending tsr isn't the best driver out there.

  25. Phil T says:

Sorry but I just can’t trust the GCQuad with those numbers.

  26. It's my experience that 8/10 players does better with short and actual weight instead of using extra length to make the weight. The easier you can cover with your chest the better the strike and speed are going to be. I've been building 44 7/8 since 2005. 205 grams roughly 70 grams cut just builds a nice d4ish.

  27. sammehigan11 says:

At some point it doesn't look great for the fitting business if a pro fitter has to change his clubs so often

  28. John Domutz says:

Hope you don't be offended by this suggestion. For the filming, please take a moment to towel off the oils on your forehead. It's too shiny under the lights. Something easily remedied. Thanks.
