I just began golfing this March and there is so much information online it is sometimes overwhelming and sometimes conflicting. What would you suggest for beginner golfers to focus on, the driver, irons, chipping or putting? Love the game and your channel.

    John from Carleton, Michigan. Been watching all your lessons. Normally around 92 to95 golfer. The last three rounds have been 84, 81, 81. All different cources. We golf a different course every time. Only play each course about 3 times each a year.

    Durham NC – Letting the toe ‘swing’ or open on the backswing seems to me just another way of saying, “setup with the club slightly open”. I’ve found that opening up the face ever so slightly on all chips lets the bounce work easily and generally prevents digging in. Closing the club is asking for a dig.
