My first impressions are that the mask is infected by William Afton, and the little freddy helper is actually him guiding the main ccharacter toward an undesirable fate. I also think that the Gregory we hear turoughout is actually a fabrication made by William to lead you further in, disabling the things hindering him from taking control fully. It would only make sense seeing as he has already infected most of the animatronics and hardware. That's just a theory though.
