  1. Happy Monday! How was your golf this weekend? Good or bad?

Hey Alex, I was wondering. Would these type of swing thoughts translate to a hybrid or fairway wood off the deck? I have lost all ability to hit either of those clubs. I like these segmented drills to break the swing down into shorter sequences to focus on each portion of the swing. Thanks for the content!

  3. So now stealing video ideas from @jchowngolf and @CogornoGolf and not even giving credit.

  4. 林德錚 says:

Does this drill applies to hybrid clubs as well?

  5. Jdwack says:

I’ve tried this and am hitting my irons better, especially my 6.

  6. A good drill I was given was put a broom stick in-front & push it forward too feel the low finish

  7. Alan Goudie says:

Thank you for another very helpful video.

  8. Ramsin 69 says:

Thanks for posting Alex, I use a similar technique when I feel as though I’ve lost my swing during a bad round. You’ve added some extra info that I look forward to trying.

  9. Mike says:

That is one of your best lesson Alex so easy to follow cheers

Took this to the range today, and I have to say it's amazing, thank you! I've only been playing a year or so and massively struggle with consistency and 'feels' but this is a game changer for me. Question for you, should high handicappers be practicing straight shots, draws or fades or all of them? I can (inconsistently) hit a straight shot and draw if I put my mind to it, but fades are tricky (path etc.) I just don't get what shot shape my focus should be on.

Also, I was hoping to book online lessons with you @alexelliotgolf , but I don't see where to do so on your website. Do you still offer them?

Your camera lens has a round smudge mark at the bottom right of the screen. You can easily see it when the Stage 3 pops up.

  12. AR C says:

Great drills, hitting clubs at the driving range okay, however, only striking the ball on the course about 50% of the time. Do you have any tips on taking the range to the course?

  13. Gary Stride says:

I call this a flat punchy 7,,, low flight further back of stance low release and it travels, into wind or under tree cover never thought it was a proper shot😂😂 will deffo move ball up and give a full stroke a try accross all my irons, great vid as per

  14. I started something similar to stage 1 of the drill for about a month now. Instead of after the ball, I practice without a ball and make the backswing go about 4 to 6 inches. It is teaching me to take my swing to the finish so I can imprint in my mind where to finish the swing.

    Well done alex 🏌‍♂️ 👏 👍

  19. Great video, would the same drill work for driver?

  20. Chuck Barham says:

Great drill to work on my iron strike. Thanks Alex.

  21. This is great! I've been doing this lately because i feel i get a better strike on the ball than full shots. I'm a high handicapper and chunk or top alot…and now i know why! Makes perfect sense.

  22. Watched the Senior Open this past weekend won by Alex Cejka. I noticed immediately how much Cejka choked down on all his clubs to control flight and club face. Thoughts on this technique?

  23. Again, thank you, Alex, for a concise well explained practice drill. Will be trying it out tomorrow.

  24. Salty Skunk says:

Very interesting this makes perfect sense I'm gonna be busy tomorrow 😂
