  1. He handles the quad bogey much better than Justin Thomas, who whines and complains non stop.

  2. Sooooo many contradictions in this lol. “Can he win? That’s irrelevant.” Then proceeds to talk for 10 min on why Tig has that killer mindset to win the event and how important that is.

Just say Tig helps sell TaylorMade products and bring attention to brands. Trying to go pro is 20% of his actual emphasis at best.

  3. Cart Golf says:

So he’s last by a long shot… but forget that… lol… I like Micah the tour is another level

I’m not a big Micah fan, but this is the correct take. I’m about as merit based a proponent there is in this society, and I’m always complaining about people not earning their way into jobs, college admissions, whatever. But this is completely different. The problem is most casual fans don’t understand the purpose of a sponsors exemption. If you’re working for whatever company is sponsoring the event, and you make this decision to use the exemption on someone who will gain no extra eyeballs, you’ll be looking for a new job the following week. My only problem with Micah is his lack of self awareness when it comes to his body language and attitude. He has to know through watching back his own videos how it comes across and also recognize how self defeating he can be. Talent can’t overcome poor a mental game even for the absolute most talented. Micah can’t succeed in leveling up unless he does a 180 in this department. And even if he stays making content and puts the going pro ambitions behind him, he’ll need to allow himself to have more fun or the “woah is me” attitude is going to run thin there too. Seems like a good kid, fun to watch him smash it, just wish he’d allow himself to enjoy it more instead of putting so much negative pressure on himself.

I mean no hate to Micah, but he’s just a scratch golfer. To make it to pro level you have to be what? +6 +8? He’s not going to make that I’m sorry. The difference between a actual pro and a scratch golfer is making the cut to dead last.

  6. Shane Potter says:

I thought his title something to the effect of 'muh comeback on day 2' was silly considering I watched it waiting for a good stretch of golf that never materialized but aside from that I hope he does well if an when he's given opportunities.

  7. Mark says:

Like Mike block, previous champs, has beens, local pros, people that might sell tickets

  8. Chan Kim says:

being called a 'keyboard warrior' for pointing out the truth
truth = he finished dead last
truth = he is not a pga tour pro golfer
truth = he did not play in a pga tour event

  9. Mike Camire says:

Spot on, it is a win, win for Micah and the tournament. Micah gets some experience and the tournament gets extra attention because he is there. He might have came in last, but he is capable of playing better, I am sure his nerves were high.

  10. J T says:

    It’s two things:
He doesn’t have that magnetic personality like most YT greats. I compare him to Crossfield vs Shiels, but Crossfield at least doesn’t take his game all that seriously.
Secondly, he took snipey indirect shots at GG.
Nobody knows what went on behind the scenes, but his career arch was forever changed once Garrett asked him to join GG. Take the high road, and be a respectable man.
    He’s unwatchable.

  11. “Triple A” golf is ruthless, these guys are savages. The winner is usually 15/20 under. It takes 4 rounds in the mid to low 60’s week in/week out. Micah is a great golfer, he’s just not there yet. I have no issue with him getting the sponsor exemption, hit the iron when it’s hot, from both perspectives. Honestly, he may get another shot at some point even with the poor showing.

  12. Phil says:

Micah couldn’t even win a club championship…It’s a joke he was even in this event 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂

  13. Power Path says:

Why don’t they ever do any collabs with you? I be lookin for you.

  14. Nothing to add. Great take on all aspects. 💯

  15. Why do people dislike Micah? I am new to the YouTube golf scene so I don’t have much idea of the back story. He seems like a really nice down to earth dude so I’m curious about why he gets hate?

  16. This sounds like your pitch to sponsors to give you an exemption 😂😂😅

  17. Sid Ripster says:

I'm a fan of Micah. I've watched him develop into a fine young man and golfer. The Experience he's gaining along with the grit and determination and striving to be the best that he can be, this young man has a bright future in golf.
And to mr. Short game, your insight into the marketing aspect has taught me something I did not know today, thank you. AMAZING!!!

  18. Lucha Hacks says:

Micah has painted himself into an almost impossible corner. I admire him for taking the chance, but ironically his worst case scenario would be finishing bottom end on KF tour stops and just bleeding money. I hope he finds the best balance for him and his family.

  19. Brodey Pecha says:

Fat Perez would be awesome. He's very very solid. I dont think ive ever seen him just completely fall apart

  20. aj dileo says:

This event had the highest following of any Canadian tour event this season. Fat Perez could not walk 18 though.

  21. aj dileo says:

He tried so that gets respect but it is very obvious that he does not have the talent it takes to be a pro.

  22. T Hands says:

Kudos to Micah for trying, advice to him is not to just take any sponsor’s exemption but to also factor in the course. Not every course will suit one’s game. Even the best like Tiger avoid certain courses.

  23. tubopedia says:

What a tremendous take, thank you Mr.Short Game for putting this out there. If Micah is trying to make it there is nooo way he can turn down a learning experience like that to gauge where his game is at. Extra: I think his ball striking is there, the difference between him and professional would be mental game, being in those situations, game inside 100 yards.

  24. Micah is far from being a pro, this was always going to happen, stick to YouTube bud and trying to grow a personality

  25. loophiker says:

I remember learning how to swim at Lake Perry, Kansas! Dad throws 7 year old Jerry off the dock into a muddy lake. I mastered the “dog paddle” instantly. You’re either winning or learning, never losing!

  26. 100% agree good vid. Followed the PGA tour of Canada after this weekend and checked his score online. To many keyboard pros out there struggling to break 90. Hope he gets another opportunity

  27. JD Tackett says:

💯 bro! Shame on people who don’t understand the desire of an athlete focused on a goal, totally support Micah’s decision, just didn’t play well for this event but I bet he learned a lot of experience first hand.

  28. I think they should have given it to George Bryan!

  29. MrJoepeps says:

It seems like Tig has gotten worse since leaving Good Good. His driver has been terrible, his 2 Iron used to be money every shot, and his irons used to be dialed… I dunno what happend.

  30. matt lee says:

Unfortunately Youtube golf does not translate well to pro golf. Not enough reps/practice. It would be a big risk for him to do this as Youtube pays the bills better for him than 95% of amateur golfers.

  31. David Bozic says:

Micah would have done so much better had he utilized a different caddy. Just listening to the caddy made ME nervous. All I want are distances, I can provide my own motivation. That's how Hogan played. Micah should give it another try.😺

  32. Craig Allen says:

As a huge Good Good fan i don't think any of us hate Micah. I hope he does great. At the end of the day it's all about the entertainment content for the youtube viewers and Micah clearly didn't like the pure entertainment value of the good good videos and wanted to go a more serious route and thats great. He wasn't very fun to watch anyway and was definately a buzz kill. And, we ended up with Luke Kwon who is just completely awesome and a much better fit. Best of luck to all of them. I will always root for Micah to become a pro but I'll watch Good Good.

  33. Jkbone says:

You don’t often succeed immediately when you go to a higher level of competition. Micah is capable of low scores and I think he can succeed as a pro… you can’t expect too much when your thrown into the fire like this.

  34. Matt B says:

Thanks Matt. Players who aren’t Rory and the top bunch are going to be flocking more than they already are to all of you social influencers. You Max Homa example was friggin spot on. It’s amazing, and game changing, and may finally bring golf to the serious mainstream. But it will be Top Golf cutlure more than a St. Andrews one. Lifetime sub to Micah Morris golf. Also to gm, good good, and Bbyan bros. It’s a content dynasty.
