We talk BRZ Oil Pressure with 900BRZ

For episode 117 of the Flatirons Syndicate Podcast, our guest is Brian aka. 900 BRZ.

We brought on Brian so that we could talk to him about all of the testing that he and some of the other members of the California BRZ/GT86 community has been doing regarding a potential oil pressure issue with the FA24 BRZ and GT86.

Brian has done a fairly extensive amount of testing with data-logs of oil pressure data on track. And it seams that these cars don’t like right-hand turns.

We get talk about both the testing that he has done, the results that they have collected, and what his future plans are for testing a solution.

Thanks for listening and Stay Tuned!

Here are links to the 2 videos that Brian made logging oil pressure that are discussed in the video:

Too bad P gauge is not stock!

I'd love a GR86 with the G16E-GTS, in the Morizo state of tune, as well as the brakes off of the GR-Y & GR-C, upgraded dampers & larger sway bars (or at least the Subaru-sourced Brembos & Sachs dampers off of the 2024 "performance pack" trim). Essentially give me the Toyota GR86 Track mule with full interior & no scaffolding/roll cage. I would pay the, what I'd estimate to be, 36-38k for it too, so it can slot as the top trim GR86, but still slot under the Supra as to not step on it's Bavarian toes (assuming it was essentially a premium/10AE trim with the mechanical bits I want, and I could get Neptune blue/blue flame/voodoo blue/Grecian Water… why does Toyota/Lexus have so many names for the same damn color?). I'm 40, I don't have time to build and/or modify a car, I want to buy and drive a car, but the current offerings are either lightweight and underpowered (miata, gr86/brz) or have a good amount of power, but are very freaking heavy and/or expensive (Mustang, Camaro, M2), or are a Porsche 911… that starts near 6-figures… If the IS500 came with a manual I'd have one of those, or if the CT4V-Blackwing came with an LT-1 or LT-6 w/manual I'd have one of those and just accept the weight penalty as it could be my "all in one" car, right now I have an IS350 F-sport RWD that is my daily and I'm looking for a fun 2+2 toy so I can take my wife & kids with me, if it doesn't have four seats, I may as well just get a motorcycle again.

I have a latest video that logs oil pressure at VIR. Note: currently the oil pressure transducer is suffering temperature drift, so take all oil pressure with 10 to 15 psi above.
