My write up … I only bet the 4 golf majors and NFL
Note: I only bet the long shots and very small amounts — this is a fun thing for me expecting to lose, however I won on Fitzgerald last year in the US Open at 25 to 1 — You are not going to win over time betting on the favorites at 7 to 1 odds
Betting on golfers to finish in the top 10 has been working out for me the last couple years so I will try a few more of those. Cam Smith was my latest winner in that category in the US Open.
The British open is all about playing in weather with the wind always a big factor. Golfers who can hit low, accurate running shots which don't spin are always rewarded. Secondly, avoiding spots like those pot bunkers and the deep hay fields plays a big role. You get in those spots and it's an automatic bogey, at the very least. Thirdly, Luck plays a big part. Getting some good fortune always helps as these links golf courses always have odd bounces.
Bets to WIN this tournament
Tommy Fleetwood 28 to 1. Hired a new coach and is playing much better this year. Competing well all year and almost won the Canadian Open a few weeks ago and he always competes well at the Open. He is due for a victory and it could very well come here.
Cam Smith. 20 to 1. Competing well now and back in the top form when he won this tournament last year. The best putter in the world.
