2023 U.S. Open Preview: The Los Angeles Country Club

For the first time in 75 years, the U.S. Open returns to Los Angeles in June. We got to preview this classic course designed by George C. Thomas and recently restored by Gil Hanse. The 2017 Walker Cup here was amazing, but a U.S. Open? This will be epic. It won’t be hard to find the fairways, but position, and length will prove all-important because when it comes to the shot values into the greens, you better be surgical. Misses can result in tragic lies. Just ask us. We prayed for sand every time an approach shot wasn’t struck just right.

  2. There is not ONE single video preview of the course itself. I can't find anything on youtube, and google photos show the same few holes. Nothing in terms of a preview showcasing the holes. I guess something will come out closer to the tournament I suppose. Its just weird to me that nothing exists.
