How do you hit the sand first??? I always pick clean and fly the green

Some great points. I found that taking the body a little out of the swing and a little more arms helped me dial in more accuracy around the green. The big turn seemed to be the source for a lot of inconsistency me for.

  3. Hiya Mark, what do you advise when the bunkers are quite hard and not much sand, for example if it's rained hard so the sand isn't nice and fluffy. I find that my club bounces to much and then it leads to a thin nasty shot. I tend to go up to my 60 degree with less bounce and try and clip ot off the top with varying results. Any tips on wet bunker play would be useful.

Great tip about the wet sand! I use Rory’s T setup with the ball forward in stance, lots of loft and a path square to target line. The path (not face) controls the direction. Then all I do is just look about an inch behind the ball. You can give it plenty of speed but you’ll never thin it.

I always struggle with bunkers. This is the first video I’ve seen where speed is the core skill and it has helped me already. Thank you for your down to earth, common sense attitude.

  6. Always great videos and instructions Thank You 👍👍
